Underneath the "who's online now" section on the right of the main page it says there are currently 34 robots on this site right now. what are they doing?
i'd say reading your mind. but more likely determining what each of us are more likely to buy or buy into.
What do HP managers say about this? As well , what are the numerous guests who do not write doing? We who write here deserve answers. We are content, not contented.
i remember in the early days of interwebs, the term was lurkers. and doing so was called lurking. slightly pejorative but mostly harmless. but of course that mostly harmless was before it was over run by biz droids who crashed the concept of hypertext in favor of self serving 'monetization'
The robots you see listed are various search engines going thru the pages and indexing information for their search databases. That is how you can go to Google, DuckDuckGo, etc. and search for a topic or phrase and get pointed to an appropriate page, thread or post here on the forums.
