I saw a dead armadillo on the side of the road today and was tempted to stop and bury it. We put up crosses and lay wreaths for people, why not for that cat you ran over last week as well?
Life sustaining nutrition, when canned meats (with a long shelf life) are fought over in the aftermath of the zombie horde
i like the idea of the wreaths and flowers and stuff, to remind humans non-humans have a right to not get run over too. driver's code says human life is worth more then non-human life. i don't buy the morality of any life being worth any less then any other, (except maybe insects when that's what it takes to prevent being colonized by them, or if you're actually going to eat what you kill) absolutely there should be memorials, where a cat got hit by a car. or a skunk or a weasel or a porcupine or any of the rest of them, mamels, reptiles, birds even.
Amen, brother. Heaven or Hell is what we make it. Heaven being a place of mercy and Hell one of suffering. Thus the more suffering there is in the world, the more hellish it is. And if we are the source of that suffering, then we are devils. The only way out of it is to start showing a little compassion for those we have always trampled on only because we thought we could get away with it.
