Ok in Jacksonville, you got the hard to find dank, from old hippie growers. Then you got the easier to find wanabe ganstas with the shitty weed, that rob and shoot everyone including the icecream trucks.

I suggest you goto a smaller, town, ones with art festivals and things. Maybe St, Augustine or Fernandina Beach, I always see people walking around with dreads or smoking j's. Those kinds of towns seem much more safe and alot hippier.

Well a good friend of mine grows that bud. But theres other growers around here too. They're just hard to find becuase they dont sell to that many people.

A few years back I was at an art festival and I was just happen to start chattin with this old drunk dude, turned out he was a grower, he sold me some awsome dank buds for awhile. I suggest you just go out and try to meet new people. You'll never know until you do.

Thanks! you've helped restore a little of my hope for the world. Thanks for not just making fun of me for getting ripped off. I'm making plans right now to take the water taxi over to Fernandina Beach next weekend so I can poke around a little bit. Haven't been there yet. But there's got to be some place that's easier to score weed in around these parts than in St. Marys.

just go there, meet people who look like stoners, and try to look like one yourself. buy like a qp if you find a guy, and get his number. a far drive every month or so for good bud is worth it, and gets rid of the hassles of getting ripped of and trying to establish connects.

I know about long rides once a month to get weed. When I lived out on the range in Montana, we would drive 250 miles to Billings for dank. I had this one friend that would drive 10 hours all the way down to Colorado to bring back a pound every few months.
In a relative sense, Fernandina Beach Florida is really just across the river; it's 45 minutes by water taxi or 45 minutes by car on the road. I'll have to break out my tie-dye and braid my hair. It worked over the summer in Myrlte Beach, SC, so that should do it in Fernandina, I hope.

Hey man, don't feel discouraged if you don't find anything either, its a fun little town, just poke around the shops and stuff and have fun. If you find some bud it'll just be a +

So I learned something today...I just got hooked up by another "middleman" and it cost less and was of better swag quality than what I've gotten from the bar cooks. My husband spotted this adult kid hanging out at the restaurant around the back corner of my apartment building. He said he could make a phone call. I handed him $40 to make it happen. He delivered a nice looking bag of swag to my door step 10 minutes later and my exact change. So I gave him money to buy a beer on me at the bar. Turns out he was a cool guy. This is the last night he can smoke weed because he's going into the Navy to be a cook, all he wanted was for us to smoke him out in return for scoring us a bag.
The lesson learned, always check with all of the local cooks.

If you're a cook, into cooking or just after a damn good read I really recommend Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain..

It's kind of an autobiographical/non fiction book but follows his story working in some shitty restaurants to really high class joints from the 60s/70s onwards, all the staff getting fucked up on coke and psychedelics and fucking waitresses and bits about crazy illegal immigrant workers and the characters on the restaurant circuit, all the while written with a real passion and love for good food. Very entertaining and if you've ever worked in a kitchen you should read it :)

it sucks when the only reason you cant smoke is that you dont have a source to get it from.
