Rip To One Of Our Own

I know I usually joke around on here but this is not one of those time. I recently found out that our good friend Drbonzai (Brian) has passed away. He seemed to be one of the hardest working guys around. My heart absolutely sank when I found out. I was exchanging funny pcitures with him no more then two days ago. Rest in peace Brian. You will be missed by a lot of people.

My condolences.

 

I'm still in shock and I'm still crying. Brian and I have become really close friends over the past 4 years. I joked that he was like the brother I never wanted. We loved and hated each other on many occasions. He told me at least 4 times that he was never speaking to me again because I wasn't a "yes person" like most of the other people in his life yet he kept coming back. I called him out on his shit but I really did love the guy. I spoke to him late Sunday night. He was so excited because after about 15 years with no kidneys he found out he was much closer to receiving a donor kidney. My heart is completely broken right now. RIP Brian. You will always be loved and missed by me.

I wonder how many posters have passed on without anyone knowing. If I kicked the bucket no one would know. People come and go here all the time. What a depressing thought...

Was a nice video. It didn't load properly but I could hear and then I saw the end must have been his dad. I'll have a drink at the pub, maybe he'll swing by and see.

Fuck. That just ain't the way no man should go. I'm just standing in my kitchen. I don't know what to think.

I think surreal is the right word, and so it feels to see that video and the truck yard. When I got to know Brian it was after my horse accident and I was busted up nothing to do for five months but sit in the chat room and that's where I got to know him. So we spoke and he spoke at lengths about the yard and what he did etc. etc. so to see it all there and then I'd of course seen photos of him and the photos..

I think sometimes that it's easy to overlook the fact that behind each one of our usernames, is a real person. Most likely because I do not know many of your first names, it becomes easy to forget this and most of the time I just see usernames and forget.

So I feel an emptiness all of a sudden because watching that video and everything we'd spoke about he was an actual real person and a good person too. None of it looked like I had imagined when we talked, but when I saw it, it couldn't have been any other way.

 

How tragic.. will miss you Doc. Thanks Ruby for the video.
