I just learned that Lou Reed of the very influential Velvet Underground (one of my all-time favorite groups) has died at the age of 71. RIP, Lou. If I wasn't at work and didn't have to rely on my phone to post this, I would post some of his music.

I was shocked to hear that Lou has died.I was a big fan.Apparently he had had a liver transplant earlier this year and it was a complication due to that. Here is a song from the album "Song's for Drella" he made with John Cale.Drella was Andy Warhol's nickname and the album is all about Andy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GphPmGOHy_Y"]Lou Reed & John Cale - Images - YouTube

I didn't say that is so. It's just that everyone who has ever listened to the radio has heard that song at one time or another. I'd rather post some of his better songs that most people probably haven't heard -- not that WotWS isn't a great song.
I saw him perform at Boston's Orpheum about ten years ago. The loudest concert ever. He must have been deaf.
