Hearing on social media that singer kenny rogers has passed away aged 81

 

Rest In Peace, Kenny....

I remember and cherish a lot of his great music hits growing up.

 

I remember his restaurant, been there.

 

RIP Kenny

 

Oh wow. So sad for the country music industry, his fans, and everyone who knew him personally.

 

That one was my grandad's favourite song, at least he used to play it a lot when I was little

Still makes me sad when I hear it

I think the real reason I like this song is because it had a deeper meaning to it - not just about a card game. The message applies to how to approach life.

 

I look forward to seeing his Biography special on A&E set to air on April 13, 2020

Although it is not my type of music, it always saddens me when a great artist is no longer with us.
Both Roy Clarke and John Sullivan died recently and I wonder what we have in store for great British comedy over future years.
