comedian Joan Rivers passes away today. I first saw Joan on a black & white TV as a guest host on The Johnny Carson Show. Most recently she hosts Fashion Police on the E network, working with people one third her age. Here's a tribute to an enduring, resilient Star ! This post has been promoted to an article
May she rest in peace (finally!) That was one hellava funny lady. She will be missed. No more face lifts, Joan! I bet there's a few plastic surgeons crying today. Her she is on Carson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lEX6HI4Mew
Her humor was much too mean-spirited for my taste. I always saw an unappealing mean streak in her. Crushing other people, especially over trivial cosmetic flaws, isn't funny.
I didn't find her funny either I also thought she was around 60 years old. She looked plastic as hell but it did keep her looking young
She was hilarious and outspoken and such a character.. her humor was supposed to shock and offend but if any of the celebrities were truely offended then they probably took themselves too seriously... People need to laugh at themselves. She made fun of herself a lot.. R.I.P. Actually, she seems restless, so party hard in the after life...
I Loved Her Quick Wit, Not Too Many People Can Make A Response Like Her. She Will Be Surely Missed. RIP To A Very Funny Lady Who Didn't Take This Journey We Call Life Seriously... Cheers Glen.
I've already pondered the question of if it's possible for two people in the same line of work to be more opposite.
Can't say I was the biggest fan, but this shocked me more than robin williams did. Heard a lot of her skits and stand-up in the past year or two as well as her cameo in Louis CK's show RIP comedians, the world feels a little heavier without you
She was one of the most resilient crude comics out there. She was also a female which is rare in comedy and use to be unheard of. She was a shit talker, but she was willing to be the butt of the joke too. But definitely not a huge loss to the social structure! :/ We will move on!
I would say about her personality though that she hated the Right as much as she was level right, liking that form of conversation. Rest In Peace.
