Are you talking about the genetic freak argument?

Didn't mention her, becuase with her it is a little bit more obvious its about hard work and talent as opposed to mostly having that genetic head start that would make her naturally better at gymnastics....or running or swimming.

A lot of frigging hard work.

Which is why she'd be my pick for most impressive athlete at these games. That shit is real talent over genes

I get what your saying but to me it shouldn't be considered a genetic freak just because someone is fast in two different distances. We are also not going to say any physically gifted athletes don't work hard...are we?

Least the Brazilians keep good arses, because the beach volleyball skills are horrendous. :)

We got a gold medal in sailing.

Sailing is another one of those ones where I'm like, really, that's a sport?

How do you train for that? Six pack of fosters on the harbour?

Does the wind get a medal as well?

What's the deal with high fives after every single point even when the other team is getting the point. Now I can see if someone made a nice play but there are players that aren't even involved in the play high fiving each other when the other team scores. It's like they are trying to trick the audience into thinking they got the point.

Guess I don't have to watch this match now. I am glad the Germans won though.

Stand back and watch. I actually rarely watch my opponent I more look at my balls and what I'm going to do about it. I can quickly work out where roughly maybe the cue ball will sit, IF my opponent miss their shot. I can then use the rest of the time between shots to work out what I would do if they miss the shot. I learn that IF I can make a run, what is the last shot I need to sink the black and I work backwards from that, every shot. Since cue ball is hard to control with my skills currently, I have to throw a few audibles in there. :D

have to wait and see. the Brazilian chick DID go into her lane and bumped her but the US chick wasnt as far left in her lane as she should have been. So just gotta wait and see. And if they do win the protest they wont really 'get a second chance' per se.. theyll just go right into the finals.

While I can understand him wanting space. It is different from what you normally see. But then again you don't normally see the athletes returning with a baby.

That Netherlands chic got silver in the women's 200m

Can you believe that? A white chic got a medal in a track sprint event.

Where's Asmo? She should get her own friggin parade just for her when she gets back home
