Thanks. I looked at it and bookmarked the page. I totally agree that citizens united should be reversed and will support anything that is for that purpose. I do, however, think that is just scratching the surface of the real issue (of money in politics).. meaning, it's a start. A good one.
But politics and the Fed will still be controlled by money, corporations and banks regardless.

Speaking of corporations- I wonder how many people are aware that the United States doesn't even really exist- well, it does but it is publicly listed as a corporation- Incorporated United States.

In that we each seem to have a different definition for all the labels thrown about, progress in solving issues to the satisfaction of a large majority might be much easier accomplished if we were to constrain conversation solely to the facts relative to the issues and refrain from personal attacks on one another based on different political philosophies.

Is 'wolf-pac' indeed very Left wing? It appears to focus on a single issue, supporting a Constitutional amendment banning BOTH Corporations and Unions from donating to politicians, which in my opinion covers both ends of the political spectrum, but may not be enough. And what about politicians buying voters?

In reality, the people possess the power necessary to bring about any change they wish, if only we could unite and elect politicians who would truly represent us and NOT their party. Both House and Senate representatives should spend more time with their constituents, in order to represent them as they want to be represented on the issues and less time in Washington voting on issues frequently at odds with their constituents, consoling them by the amount of pork they can bring home to their State.

Of course it's not perfect, but it would be a big step.

I think, in the same way that conservatives generally try to block voters and liberals generally try to let more vote, I'd consider it liberal to block all big money in politics, thus giving every actual voter more sway over their elected officials.

I realize that you may not consider those things liberal/conservative.... but maybe you should consider that many of your views are shared with the far left, as many parts of the far wings come full circle. We mostly fight over the words.

Haha... I'll never forget the feeling I had when I started noticing all the far right people speaking out against the exact same things the liberals had probs w during W's terms.

In any case, citizen's united is a good first (to amend to remove it), but the gov. needs to answer some questions about why the whole u.s. is considered a corporation owned by foreign interests. If that never happens money and corporations will always control politics and we will always have a puppet gov.

Not only citizens united needing to be repealed, all lobbying, ALL lobbying needs to stop. It's just fancy word for buying politicians.

But the way to get to that is keep the money out of politics with a constitutional amendment.

In an election cycle after that is in place, the corporations will have lost a great amount of sway, and will no longer be immune in the way they are right now.

This statement is total ignorance. First of all, Government (left and Right) Is working with the evil corporations you pretend to hate! (Even Obama.) Secondly, you're directly attacking my views with inaccurate statements. Liberals support the "status quo" more than I do! When I say "Limited Government" I don't mean "small and super effective government." I don't even know why you Liberals think a small government could be "super efficient;" However, the BIG government you're demanding WILL be "super efficient" Already they are totally wasting our money spying on regular citizens and government programs that pretend to protect us, while actually hurting us. IE the CIA, FBI, DEA, FDA, EPA etc etc etc. 90% of Government spending is waste.

But what's the Liberal option? To spend more.

And Lovin' dude, I try my best to be respectful even to people who do have drastically different views than mine, I don't on the other hand take insults lying down. Everyone wants to jumps on my throat if I insult Obama or question why Liberals believe in spending more. So the truth is that I'm not the antagonist here, ignorance makes people reply with anger other than civil conversation. Once again, I've displayed Liberal hypocrisy and they will not explain why they still continue to follow Obama despite the fact that he's obviously just as bad as Bush. There are many many other reasons too, why the Liberal agenda is wrong, and all I try to do is display how I see Liberalism, and everyone gets mad and yells that I'm intolerant, but no body will step up and tell me why Liberals believe more taxes/printing/spending is going to magically fix the economy!?

I think alot of Liberals are closet Communist and simply don't realize that communism has never worked cause the people are extreamely poor, and the only people with money is the HUGE governments who own everything from the hospitals to fast food joints, and private property is not allowed. That's right!- Communism is a lie, just like Liberalism. Private property should not be demonized; if people were able to keep more of what they actually earned, there's an incentive to work, and our money would go further.

So as I said, I'm just trying to help people see the big picture. I don't think I attack people any more so than anyone else; but my views are uncommon here, so I tend to rub (some) people the wrong way.

Liberals also think business is the problem and totally fail to take notice to the fact that the government programs they endorse, is what makes it appealing for companies to get involved in government- (Monsanto's CEO was president of the FDA for awhile) so government IS the problem. Corporate Greed is bad too, but as I said Government has power that corporations want, and politicians are just actors out for the money. I agree with American Terrorist that it doesn't matter who's in charge, but that means that Obama really was never better than Romney or Mc Cain.

Honestly, I don't even know why I came back here. The general public these days are more awake than the Liberal Community. When I left HF for a month, I went to a different political forum, and had a lot of interesting conversations in which I learned/conveyed information. Most the public today know something is drastically wrong in Government-- except Liberals.

That wasn't a rant. That was a Logical response to you claiming the Obama Regime is better than Romney/Mc Cain/Bush.

Liberals are just so clueless when it comes to government. They really think the government serves to manage people's individual lives, and that is just scary. That is collectivism. Collectivists believe in relinquishing individual rights for what they perceive as the "greater good" of the whole or collective. Unfortunately, most leftists buy into the NWO agenda under all the flowery rhetoric, so their idea of the greater good is usually in line with what the globalists want to bring about, which is a one world government where the state reigns supreme over all else.

You're totally right. Because once you really look into it, a lot of NWO Bansters have a Liberal agenda, because as you said; it creates a government "big enough to give you everything you want;" Before you liberals jump up and down, we may want to remember history..

"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have."~Thomas Jefferson~

There is nothing the elite hate more than the idea of limited government, because you cannot control people when you have a limited government. You need centralized, authoritarian control, which can only be achieved by the consolidation of state power by way of socialism. Confiscate the wealth from the people by way of taxation, inflation, etc.. then use that money to build up the power of the state under the guise of solving problems it intentionally creates to justify more power for themselves.

I'd really like to find a political forum where the issues are discussed with intent to resolve relative problems and consequences rather than focusing on and attacking the persons posting based on their political views. Let me know if you find such a forum.

Quit true, 'Collectivists' is a more fitting label to their agenda than Liberals or Progressives or any other labels they may wish to employ or apply to themselves.

One of the biggest problems, as i see it, with politics today is the semantics clusterfuck that you can readily see here, and everywhere else. I agree with everything Matt, STP, and most of what I've read from Indi. But some of us can't differentiate the mainstream "status quo" crooked liberal scum politicians from the intelligent and sincere leftist. Much in the same way the average "liberal" can't differentiate between a war Hungary republican and a patriotic Libertarian. The same people who denounce the dem vs pub charade feed into the lib vs con bullshit even though its accomplishing the same goal.

Libs are this! Cons are that! RAH RAH RAHBBLE RABBLE RAH! Keep throwing these labels around, it's like an elementary food fight. Meanwhile the people we elect are laughing to the polls because its just a big fucking game.

Take the labels and the big time politics out of it and look at eachother as human beings and not the gord damned enemy.

"If I ever did you wrong than forgive me....but please don't put no evil on me. Cuz I'm just another brotha from a father and a mother tryin to make my way in the world today."

So you're saying that the problem with liberals is that they're actually something else, and they don't know it, because they think they're liberals.........

The problem with liberals is that they keep believing that their politicians are honest liberals, just like the problem with conservatives is that they keep believing that their politicians are honest conservatives. Obama says he's a liberal, and does very un-liberal things -- this does not mean those are liberal things, it means he's a fucking lier of the worst kind.

It's kind of silly to try and hold an entire group or ideology accountable for the actions of one person who may or may not subscribe to it... especially when that ideology doesn't endorse or condone the actions of that one person in any way. Last time I checked poisoning the opposition wasn't written anywhere in the republican platform. I also haven't seen the NRA lobbying for anything but the right to bear arms.

That's sort of what he's saying. More that the problems with liberals is they don't understand the consequences of the ideas they support, nor do they understand the underlying motives of the people in high places who benefit from them.
