    Hey, that's a coincidence! I loved him on the Woodstock dvd (playing Freedom and Handsome Johnny) but didn't seem to be able to find anything more about him.

    Those two songs songs really hit me, especially with views of the festival and all. Really powerful. Thanks for posting this.

    how old is he now? and hes still playing? thats awsome. id love to see him..man..and yea his woodstock performance was amazing. the furiously flicking of his foot and the chordes played by his thumb...yea...:) danceing to the concord war :)

    he must be in his 60/s now . i do appologise in advance richie if your younger . but even if richie is in his 60/s "he is looking really well for his age . i know that he is still playing to this day and is touring the uk this year . i missed out last year (as you can imagine )tickets sold very quickly . /peace /

    He played at this little local bar that I go to for shows a lot, but I didn't get to go. I hope I see him later this spring, though

    a few years ago when we were about to attack iraq, demonstrations took place in every major city worldwide. i went to the NYC one. granted, there we a few hundred thousand people between us, but i could see him up there next to susan surandin playing his guita

    just watched the woodstock reunion 1979 ........richie on stage .....wow yeah man ....cool / peace/

    I have the Woodstock DVD, and his two songs on it are amazing! Unfortunately, I don't have any of his albums, but i might get one of them soon.

    Yup, it's totally breathtaking. The Woodstock version of Handsome Johnny even made me cry once.

    i like his cover of all along the watchtower. his song, pulling up the stone is good to.

    how nervous do you think he was being first performer at woodstock? he did awesome!

    Oh yeah! Richie is far out man! Love him :D He was amazing at woodstock! and like Local Hippy said, he must have been nervous as hell, being first up man... :D

    OMG you're lucky Ranchero!!! I checked his tour schedule yesterday to see if he was coming to my hometown... he's not! Just my luck! :(

    But he's still great! :)
