  1. i came across a thread on TokeCity i believe.. saying that uncooked Rice is one of the best ways to filter smoke.. better so than water.. only down fall is rice does not cool down the smoke obviously... anyone tried this before?

Any enlightenment of why exactly this would work?

it probably diffuses really well. if you had a perk you could able to make the first water and the second rice
  4. it works like carbon filter.. more surface area for the tar to be filtered out

Rice instead of water, or water and rice? If you like the idea you should try diffuser beads.

so i just just fill my bong with uncooked rice and no water? maybe i should keep the rice and the bong in the freezer for awhile beforehand to get the cooling effect too.
  8. so on my GonG adapter there is a section that basically is like a carbon filter area.. so i made a quick screen out of a couple crumped stripped twist ties and flattened it.. put the rice in that area.. still filled the bong with water as well.. seemed to make it a bit on the smoother side... :cheers2:

you could keep your rice in the freezer, then it would cool it. the rice im sure absorbs moisture, but i don't see how that would help. meh.
