Survives 32 years in American prison, kills himself after 5 years in Croatia :-( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zvonko_Bušić
so, we're supposed to feel bad for him or something? or are you saying that an American prison provides better living conditions than being free in Croatia? A little insight as to why you posted this would be nice.
I posted it as a random thought, that is all. He is considered a hero. You are not suppose to feel bad.
i imagine its not uncommon after such a long incarceration to become so institutionalised that you find it absolutely impossible to adjust to/function in the outside world. gotta say i'm not familiar with this gent.
next obvious question, Why? Most would consider him a terrorist, without having background about his motives, that is how I am forced to consider him as well.
i agree with noxious. since your posts are so short, and don't tell of the background of why someone who hijacked a commercial flight with bombs would be considered a hero...then i would rather say; Rest In Pieces the wikipedia entry you linked certainly makes him seem like scum.
oh, I thought Michael Snipe died.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=if-UzXIQ5vw"]R.E.M. - Losing My Religion (Official Music Video) - YouTube
One persons hero is another persons terrorist I suppose. He did get attention to his cause without killing anyone.
This topic came up with some of my Croatian friends and they were ashamed that he was Croatian. A police officer named Brian Murray was killed while attempting to dismantle a bomb that this terrorist group (or freedom fighters) planted at Grand Central Station.
a terrorist i would have preferred for him to have a slower more painful death suicide is for cowards
With all the guys here talking about panties, an example of an approach for getting press coverage for a cause without hijacking planes and planting bombs are the lettuce girls promoting vegetarianism.
i prefer to think she doesnt wear panties or at least maybe has homemade ones like greengirl had :drool5:
