    Unions have cost jobs.
Why not investigate the Dems a little bit more and you will see how much they are into big business.

Yes, the democrats are the party of no. Unions started because workers said NO more exploitation by greedy industrialists. The democrats agr-eed. NO more 60-70 hours of work without overtime pay. Democrats agreed. NO more little children working long hours. Democrats agreed. No t=o the millions wandering, hungry --unemployed ---started CCC, WPA and other helpful
organizations to allow people to work--and eat. Democrats agreed. Social security-- a saftey net as a hedge against bad times. Democrats. NO more befouling the envi-ronment without consequences. Democrats. No more discrimination in the workplace. Democrats. NO more unequal pay for equal work. Democrats.

If the type of NO you're talking about was not and is not used against the forces of exploitation---we would have had another SERIOUS revolution on
    our hands. Might yet.

Unions were formed against the egregous practices of the robber barons. Republicans believe that you--YES YOU--should go to work, shut the fuck up and take what's dished out. I have plenty of experience with union and non-union jobs. Nope--GREED has cost us jobs. That and the military-industrail complex owes fealty to NO COUNTRY.

When it comes to health care insurance, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it comes to worker-comp insurance, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it come to Union protection at the work place, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it come to school lunch, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it comes to housing for the disabled and old folks, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it comes to equal rights, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it comes to a fair living wage, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it comes to clean air, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it comes to clean water, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it come to safe food, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.
When it comes to legalized weed, the Republicans don't want anyone to have it.

I wonder where they are going to find anyone to vote for them?

It's not that no one is to have those things, it is only the privileged that are to have them. So those that believe they are privileged will vote for them if they want to keep those things away from everyone else.

Where do you get the utter garbage that you are spewing?

By the way, the Republicans are in the lead to take the Senate back with a 3-4 seat majority. So I wonder where they will find people to vote for them??

Unions demanding high salaries, pensions, and such in parts has caused companies to leave America for overseas. When you produce something that costs $1 to make and you want to sell it for $1 then you go out of business. You produce something that costs $1, you have to account for eveything that goes into the production so you have to sell it for $20. Well when company X can produce it cheaper overseas because they have less overhead then they sell it for $10, guess what you go out of business.

Unions have made it impossible to compete in certain fields. I think in some professions unions are a good idea and still needed but in others they are not.

Funny because I think everyone already has most of those and I don't see anyone taking those away from anyone.

According to the polls I'm reading, it looks likely that the American voter is going to reward the Republicans for their obstructionism by giving them control of the Senate. This is despite the fact that they do not have any solutions or alternatives to affordable health care, sustainable energy, climate change, disappearing middle class, out-of-control military budget, stagnant economy, big brother surveillance, and many other issues. They have been weakening America since Obama got in by blocking nearly every good policy idea. They even voted against repairing the nation's roads and bridges. In my view, this is almost treason -- deliberately trying to make things fall apart. And for this, it appears that the increasingly stupid electorate will reward them.

You mean the stupid electorate who voted in a community organizer for President because of his catch phrase?

Hey Vance2335, why exactly do you think the electorate are stupid? Is it because they don't agree with you, or that they went to vote at all?

Government by those at a centralized point seems to believe that ALL problems have a SINGLE best solution, but sadly that solution ends up to be the one that retains/produces the largest number of votes and largest contributions to ascertain their longevity in political office.

Not entirely so. Myself and other GOP are firm believers in employee rights. Do we support unions? No. Unions had their day when there were few if any labor laws. But times have changed.
