Hey Karen, Got a pm from someone on HP, so I answered it and decided to stop in and give another two cents worth. Wondering if my rant on the cons was coming into focus with you now. Just this morning Trump was quoting Mussolini. Trump is promising to bring back water boarding and torture....is it fascism yet? How about deporting all the Muslims and Mexicans? Promising to invade Iran and Iraq, and take their oil. Think Russia and China will be okay with it? Too bad Shrillary has turned off so many dems, with feminism, gay rights, and the "black lives matter" movement. They are probably going to vote for Trump too. No cure for stupid.

Watched a couple of round table discussions this morning. Cruz is now tying Trump to doing business with the Mafia! And the most important statement he made was led up to , by blaming some republicans for compromising with the "left." He stated unequivically---"he will never compromise with any democrats." Never. In other words--another my way or the highway statement. These repubs are dangerous indeed. Most of us here seem to want Sanders because he speaks truth to power--(finally someone is)---but even though Clinton is a typical politician out for herself-----she will be better for ALL of us than these crazy, goverment hating, Koch syncophantic, repubs.

With his endorsement of Trump, Chris Christie has flushed whatever was left of his credibility and political future down the toilet. There's way too much video footage of him describing Trump as unacceptable in every way.

As was predicted by analysts several years ago, the GOP is showing itself to be a party that now uses its primary process to screen out all candidates that have a chance of winning a general election. It has to change direction, become irrelevant, or die.

Chris Christie never had any credibility with me.

I would have been shocked if you had said otherwise. ;)

I sometimes found him fun to watch. I could relax and enjoy his antics because I never thought he could win anything.

Trump has a way of pulling people down to his level. I can't believe that this campaign has devolved into a schoolyard bully showdown; with Trump and Rubio exchanging puerile insults about each other's stature, hair, etc . How embarrassing for the candidates and for the country! And the media is lapping it up like thirsty puppies.

I've never seen a political party implode before. [IMG]

I find it hard to believe that nobody has yet commented on the Mitch McConnell story I linked two days ago. I know most people don't care about him, but the idea of the Senate majority leader going against his own party's nominee for President is completely unprecedented in American history. This is the strongest piece of evidence so far that the Republican Party could completely come apart at the seams this summer, if not sooner. None of us have seen anything like this in our lifetimes.

I heard about that McConnell story. It makes me wonder if the GOP will have an easy time impeaching Trump and throwing him out with an almost unanimous vote.

They would then be stuck with his vice president, who ever that happens to be. The party doesn't get to pick a replacement.

Totally saw this coming. I'm not surprised at all, but the mass cognitive failure of the concept of voting and democracy; just sad.

I am looking at Revelation again, and am looking at those verses in Scripture that describe the fall of Mystery Babylon, and it is possible Trump's rise is fueled by Prophecy of the divine Holy Spirit.

That aside, ironically the electoral college DOES have the power to ignore Trump's popular vote, and just go with someone else.

That is the founding father's theory of why we don't have direct democracy in the first place. (Fear of mob rule).

The chickens have come home to roost, as it were. 25 years of Limbaugh, Beck, Larson, et al, becoming the party of no, no,no, the refusal to consider anything that would benefit the working class, worshipping money only, at the expense of the rest of us, allowing giant corporations to skip paying their fair share of taxes -(although the yokels don't mind that), and on and on and on. Stir the yokels up for years and years and they get meaner and meaner towards even themselves, by which I mean---look (if you can stand it) at the candidates they've put forth--for whom they will surely vote. And now those who created this Trump monster are crying their eyes out-----and wondering how this could happen.
I really think something unusual and BIG will happen in the near future.

(Obviously this little list of mine is like the 1st paragraph of a book--there is so much to be said about the right and their constant machinations over the decades, to rid the populace of their money, their votes, their recourse to blatent employer mistreatment--get rid of worker representation, that I can't do the topic justice here. History shows that it happens again and again. ) It seemingly will always repeat, because a certain segment of the human population has no idea what real morality is.

I'm thinking they'll all show up at the convention with their concealed guns, right to display and carry assault rifles, and large magazines, then exercise their right to unfettered free speech and to hold their ground and the fun will begin. Luckily due to The Affordable Care Act many of those "working class Joes" in attendance who wouldn't have been able to afford health care before will be covered.

Also Bush won't be in charge of FEMA for the clean up.

    Super Tuesday highlights:

Rubio picked up his first win, in Minnesota.
Cruz took Oklahoma and his home state, Texas.
    Trump got the other seven.
For the first time, Kasich earned a second place finish.

Hmm you can't believe that? I noticed every election time mudslinging is a strong tradition in american politics. It seems to be regarded a valid approach. If not on stage than certainly in campaign movies. Yes it is embarrassing and preposterous, but unforuntely nothing new. Trump just takes it to a new level.

Christie standing behind Trump looking like the opportunist he is. I think he had a finger up Trumps ass--New Joizy oughta' impeach him. How can he fool people that he cares about anybody , when he doesn't even care about hinself? A 300 pounder if I ever saw one.

President Donald Trump. Just had to say that to see how it felt. It hurt.
