Some people may know, I was traveling in Tatarstan this week. ) Tatarstan is a federal subject of Russia, 740 kilometres from Moscow, and 7464 from my home city. My experience was good, capital city Kazan changed very much since my childhood. Here it is today! )) Also this was my first time using new lens, since 2011. I hope that it was worth all of my spending ) As normal, I must make post in several parts.
Your pics are among the best I have seen posted on this website. Can you please post more street scene pictures, similar to the second to last one? I want to see what the streets of Russia look like (buildings, stores, apartments, houses, etc.)
Thank you, guys ) Wow! Thank you so much ))) it is very kind to say. For a reason, I can not add to your reputation this moment, but I will remember your post here in future! I am happy you enjoy to see my photographs. I have many photographs in Tatarstan of streets, also from other travels in cities Kursk, Belgorod and so on. Of course, my city also. ) They are casual, not artistic photographs but I am happy to share with you! Thank you again.
Koryssa, Kazan Kremlin and the mosque are absolutely beautiful. Ofcourse your pics capture the Kazan perfectly...
Are the fantastical and colorful buildings in an old style that doesn't happen now?? I did see some boxy, square buildings in the background with the green house. Being in roofing for some decades now---I see the old buildings as NIGHTMARES for those in the trade!! Please--more pictures. Thanks.
They're part of a Russian orthodox church, Scratcho. Yes its a very old style, but still used today for churches, either in traditional or updated style. They were originally made from wood, and then copper Russia has varies unusual styles of roofing, not just in churches. Fortunately, the architects like to use them today, just as they did in the past.
