I'm going to start wearing plugs when I jam and go to shows, and start listening to headphonse only at a reasonable volume because I am starting to develop tinnitus in my left ear. As of right now it happens when I whistle at a certain pitch, and it's there after exposure to very loud music. It goes away after a few minutes after loud music, but I'm going to start exercising caution now before it gets worse.

my first jobs were at AT&T running wires to analog switchboards. Digital networking was just becoming part of the job and easier to learn and route.
after that., i ran wires under a computer floors ..

Id have to say, these we my most colorful jobs. I loved running wire. and often worked overtime just because i was a squirrel and could crawl really quick from one end to the other.(@att, I was on a ladder more) I had this stuffed duck i used to tie on string and toss it under the floor. i remember the ladies in the office smiling when they seen the duck in action, or laying on the floor near cable piles. I miss this job the most in my lifetime. I left to be a full time Active service member in the Army.

Gotcha. I guess being a squirrel would make running wires easier for sure subce you can squeeze into tighter spots than us humans.

Are you still in the army now?

that was a very meticulous job.. its very interesting that 30yrs before I did that. the same building i worked in, had the traditional switchboard operators. the basement and 4th floor is where I would of been.

i worked in the north side terminal and mckess rocks terminal. i walk past the building all the time now. however it has only 3-4people working in there. computers do all the work now. :( there are no linesmen there either.

    What are sweat bees?

Speaking of bees me and a buddy were walking our dogs in the woods last night and they must have pissed off a bee hive or something. The dogs got stung 6 or 7 times each, my buddy 5 times.
    me...0

    haha
