Repercussions.

    Are they a necessary ingredient for a fiction story?

    if you are using ''repercussions'' in a negative way then technically no....however a repercussion does not have to be negative...it just usually is....

    i don't see why any ingredient is really "necessary." besides words, of course.

    some ingredients certainly make a story better, but that doesn't mean they're required.

    I can think of one feature film that has no repercussions, but no others. Even realism films like Family Life (1972) and Walkabout each have at least one repercussion in them.
