For about two years now almost 50% of my dreams have been about being back in high school, or with people from high school. I don't know what it means, but it is weird.
maybe the forums are eating at your brain About 99% of my dreams have this reoccouring dream character in which i wish to kill.
yes, Matt!!!!!!!!!! Im the same way. Every other day I have dreams that involve my former high school classmates, people I havent talked to in well over 10 years, its scary!
actually , I think people dream about their former high school classmates because you learned alot of tasks, facts and experiences along with your classmates from high school, and when you learn something new that day, usually your dream tells you that through creating a scenario of you and your former mates. Plus, whether you believe it or not, high school is one of the most important periods in your life. You were going through your awkward teenage years and living experiences along with your classmates. You grew up and learned things with these people who were all your age, and spent alot of time with these kids for 12-13 years. Thats a long time. also, I noticed that I never have dreams about those kids who I only knew for 4 years. I was in a catholic grade school for 8 years, and then during high school, everyone from the catholic grade school went over to the public school. There were less kids from the public school, since the town I grew up in was predominately a catholic community. Everytime I dream of classmates, its usually those who were close friends who I went to school with for 12 years. Those kids who I knew for only 4, I really didnt get to know as well, and I usually dont see them appear in any of my dreams. Even with people from college, I never have dreams about.
Same here, that's odd. but lately it's involved some girl I had a crush on way back. every direction I would look would be another person I haven't seen in a few years. new but old
I read that dreams in high school indicate a feeling of lack of direction in your life, like you dont have an idea what you want to do. I get those all the time.
That makes sense in my case, too. I always seem to be dreaming about high school, its crazy. Another thing that has been happening in my dreams for about the last year is that I cant walk. I seem to be weighed down by something and end up either crawling on my hands and knees or slipping and falling over. Anyone know what that means?
You probably have a heavy burden or secret that you're not able to get off your mind or chest, or you probably have a problem at home or work, or in a relationship that you feel weighed down by, so you're basically helpless in the dream not able to defend or help yourself because you're weighed down by this heavy thing. Until it's resolved, you'll keep having it.
Yep, I do the same thing. Always about HS, but the situations are ones that I never would've been in.
I feel left out. I never(litterally) have dreams about h.s. But I also never attended any school longer than 2-3 yrs; usually 6 mo. to a yr.
