i'm not sure i believe that. i didn't think custom avatars were really available until a few years ago? ugh, you're such a noob. really, she was here all the time back during hipforums' glory days.
he could have been a supporter his first year i dont know about 2004 because i wasnt here but in 2008 custom avatar was definitely a supporter perk ,,,and the avatar probably stayed on after the year he paid ran out
I think you had to be a paying member for a custom avatar. I'd love to see the purple hair again, I've searched Google but could never find it again. I forget what a lot of people had as their avatars now.
Dial up internet. I never want to hear that sound again. Bleep.budududududududup bleepweeeeeerwawwwwwww
i think you were just cheap. i actually found this site in 2003, but i was in college where everybody had that "ethernet" thing. by the time i graduated in 2006 cable internet was definitely the norm.
I think that was the primary reason, iirc we had a scrolling pot banner at the time which is how they discovered it. From there on, pretty much identified by the purple-ness. I don't know if they really scanned the threads all that closely.
Overall i became better when i partook in forums. It was the feedback especially the negative feedback i received and developing a better understanding and tolerance of a wider diversity of view points. Before 2011 i never knew forums existed.
