I remember the 90s, though I was born in 1992. Did you know, that almost all anime series had techno opening songs in Germany back then in the 90s? I really love them, though I'm not a fan of techno music at all. The songs remind me of my childhood. Here are some German techno openings: Sailor Moon, first opening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hXCRoFFluI Sailor Moon, second opening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swBAsCwrjl4 Sailor Moon, third opening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un7OsrM3y-w Dragon Ball: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jNF7FqPOc0 Mega Man: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBXvVaU7sfo There is also a fourth German Sailor Moon opening song, but it sounds more like pop rock music.
I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but I loved the good ole grunge days where you can actually go up on stage with the band, dance, and jump into the crowd without security fucking with you. As long as you didn't touch the band, they were cool with yaa. I loved the Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden shows those days. Celebrity Deathmatch!!! And Beavis and Butthead, listening to those old songs like Daisy Chainsaw's "Love Your Money", Superchunk's "Package Thief", and The Dead Milkman's "Punk Rock Girl". LOL I miss those songs.
I miss the 90s when rock stars would regularly throw tantrums on the airlines to get on the front pages and would get away with it. All that ended after you know what in 2001. .
The blooper craze was going on in the 90s, although it started back in the 80s. Dick Clark and Ed McMahon used to do TV specials. Lots of blooper videos you could buy. .
I miss life before MySpace. Most people actually had a life. I never had Nickelodeon, though, so I missed out on that, but pretty much everything else applied to me. Still does, come to think of it...
Great list, i vividly remember 90% of this stuff and if it hasn't already been mentioned... Sockem Boppers
Forgot to mention the 'smash the backboard with your basketball' craze that went on in the 90s. The NBA had to start installing shatterproof backboards to put an end to that silliness. If you shatter one, be sure to do it in your special pump-up shoes with the inflatable bladder, the ones available from Nike at a very reasonable price! (That was another craze in the 90s that was used to pump up company profits). .
Man, I don't know if I'm biased or anything, but the 90s were the shit. A time when the biggest news was the president getting his dick sucked. And this reminded me of pogs. I have BOXES of them somewhere in my basement. I think the most nostalgic thing about the 90s was the tv. Cartoons in the 90s where MUCH better than they are today. Watching the systematic downfall of cartoon network and nickelodeon has been painful.
Shoulder pads still had some popularity in the early 90s in women's fashion but it seemed to be the tail end of it. It was mainly a leftover from the 80s manly look. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoulder_pads_(fashion) .
90s was also the decade where every woman on The Weather Channel got pregnant multiple times. And maybe some of the men too. .
