I was born and raised in quite a cultural muslim home...but I am not religious at all. I like using Islam as a basic guide, although I definitely have my doubts. I'm more open to things... so I'd say I take on an agnostic approach to Islam. My family's still very traditional comparatively, so I have to keep my beliefs on the DL for now (for the safety of everybody) so it's just gotten me more spiritual. It's tough though.
Well, strictly speaking, I'm not religious. My father was not either, and I grew up going to a Unitarian Universalism church where my mother attended. UU are usually weak deists or secular humanists. I don't try and label my philosophy so much. I have one, but it's more complicated. I just try to be decent.
Thank you! :cheers2: I was taught there is only one God, they're all incarnations of God. I was also taught it doesn't matter which religion you pray to, still the same God. Or even if you don't believe in God. It's all about what you do in your life. Besides, we don't know the origin of Hinduism.
Hinduism is an Eastern religion, so it has the same classic Eastern inclusiveness and peaceful outlook that you find all over that part of the world. I love the gentle spirit that they all share. I don't think we know the true origins of anything. It doesn't really matter anyway. It is what it is.
