Hey weirdo fellow, What kind of other shape could the romans have used to pin up Jesus Christ? Just wonderin'... An "X"? A circle (and spin him while he's "hooked up" - see the blood going in all directions)?
I like the idea of the cross up his ass... If you'll look at some of the painting, those logs seemed preeeety big... Imagine splinters in your instines... Must be a s&m dream... I guess that some of us posting in this thread will bet a big thunderbolt up their ass...
They could do what the Inquisition did later on(ironically in Jesus' name) and weight the people down, then set them on top of a pyramid-style device with the point placed directly up their ass.
If they broke his pelvis and hung him horizontally they could have used a trapezoid. And they called us barbarians...
