Look around, all i do generally is help. Misuse of the term gauge is one of my pet peeves, and complete ignorance of research and safe practises piss me off. Work in the industry and then see how pissed off people like this guy make you; theyre the ones that bring the whole lot down.
This guy makes you mad because he used the wrong terminology(which 90% of America does btw since they're mostly ignorant to the trade)? Well then perhaps everybody should start flaming you for misspelling "pracitiCes". If you're in the industry than you run a "practice". Why can't YOU spell what YOU do every day? God people who don't know how to spell their actions piss me off. Make the rest of us look like we pierce because we're too dumb to read and write. Get over yourself, Mr. "Work in the industry". You're customer service skills are probably a bigger part of your problem than people who STRETCH their own ears and mess it up.
As i said, the misuse of the term is just a pet peeve, and while I pointed out the spelling its the misuse that is my problem. I responded harshly due to him blatently throwing away the advice given because he thought he was too good to care about blowouts. On another note, I've worked in call centres and retail quite a bit and have been highly commended on my customer service.. but however you feel.
My career has ben completely centered in call centers. That being the case, remember what they told you on the phone, "You can't make people take the help, but that's no reason to treat your next patron rudely"... also, "No matter how many times YOU have said it, it's the first time you've said it to THIS customer." Let people have their ignorance and the bliss that comes with. Find your own peace by not letting their ignorance ruin your bliss.
