    The only brand I wear are Birkenstock and that's it. I refuse to wear lables, I just cut em off or put patches over them if my mom buys me label stuff. My mom's really materialistic and thinks money and label clothes equal happy. D;

I just wear the clothes that I want to wear. I don't pay attention to brands.

I agree with the poster above.

I buy what I like, because I like it, I dont give two shits if its popular or unpopular, name-brand or generic.

Its funny, everyone saying they wont wear shit if its brand name because they dont want to be like everyone else. In truth, you are like everyone else, you are simply conforming to the ideals of the increasingly common non-conformists. You are simply being just like every single other "non-conformist" I know.

But I think its ridiculous to wear something because its what everyone is doing. Wear what you like, instead of limiting yourself by attempting to be "unique."

I buy stuff because I like it, unless I know stuff about explotation and such about the brand in question...
I dont wear tshirts with the brand name or big logos and stuff .. I hate feeling like a walking billboard.

Good Will is great for finding cool stuff. I try not to wear many brand names just because I don't agree with Big Business and cut-throat capitalism. I still wear the occasional brand name espceailly on pants but who cares I'm not not conforming Im just trying to follow my values

I tend to buy a lot of stuff from TJ Maxx and Ross! I like brand name-ish because they don't fall apart as easily. Occasionally I'll buy a Wal*Mart t-shirt but a lot of my stuff is from TJ Maxx. I have some band t-shirts and t-shirts from places like the beach. But yeah... most of my stuff is from TJ Maxx and Ross. I like those stores. Good cheep clothing.

But, no I do not wear anything that says "ABERCROMBIE" or any other name brand directly on the clothing. I don't want to give free advertising that way. If "I" like the clothing it's my choice to buy it but I don't want others to choose to buy it because I do. (Which I generally don't... that shit is over priced and is fucking the economy. But, the point still remains!)

i feel the same about it. i just don't like having a huge logo across my chest. the more people that see it, the more buy it. this type of advertising is just a huge chain reaction. i wear clothes with unique patterns, or sometimes just plain, but i'll never have something advertised on my shirt unless it's a company that i believe is good.

i wear a few labels, if i really like the company and wish to support them. this would mostly come down to micro-/craftbreweries, though, honestly, or small town shops and restaraunts.

but i refuse to wear things that say "nike" or "abercrombie" or anything like that. its not even that i wish these companies to do poorly, or believe the company is inherently evil (in general, some exceptions apply...i.e. nike) its really more that i've always thought of it like....

well, traditionally, companies are supposed to PAY to advertise. if you have a billboard, they pay you to put up an ad so poeple will see it. if you have a newspaper or tv station, they pay for space or time to expose themselves to the public. but with t shirts, jackets, and other bullshit...the CONSUMER is paying the COMPANY so that the company not only gets FREE advertising - they make a PROFIT by advertising.

they havent done away with other forms of advertising, they just shifted from advertising products to advertising that you could BUY a product that advertises their product.

it just seems ludicrous. i'll wear a coca-cola tshirt or a nike tshirt...but i want my damn check, first!

try buying some fair-trade 100% cotton tshirts, some have designs but i prefer the blank, single color ones.

I have worn the same plain shirts, shorts, and pants for 4-5 years now. I never advertise because most of my shirts are 1 solid color, have a design on them (no logos) or are flannel.

I honestly can't tell you the brand name of any clothes I'm currently wearing. It's unusual for me to wear boxers, but today if I had to guess I would say they're fruit of the loom. And the reasoning behind that is because they make most of america's underwear :D

The last option should have been, "brand names must die together w/ the brands themselves." :) Ok, I can't vote due to a MySQL error I'm getting, but, I don't wear anything but plain shirts.

I try not to wear brand names. By brand name are you saying something like a shirt with American Eagle in big letters? Because I don't wear stuff like that, but I'll wear small companies' stuff in small letters beside a design if that counts.

I wear whatever i get gifted, find, or can get for 2$ thrift, even if it says NIKE in big letters on the front, especially if it fits / is warm (winter is coming ew).
that choice isn't on the poll :(
