I usually just pick clothes that are my style, and that I think look good on me. I do tend to avoid brand names though, and yea they are a bit expensive for me. I love to buy cheap plain clothes and customise them myself, adding bits on and transferring patterns. That way it makes the clothes unique and sorta mine, if ya get what I mean. =3
I actually could give a rats ass what lable my clothes have. I'm into being practical. Altho it certainly tickles my fancy to find name brand clothes at the Goodwill. Not because they are name brand, but because I get to buy their fancy-ass clothes for a buck... By the time I get hold of them, nobody'd recognize them anyhow...
Oh yea? Amazing how you can know so much. Ya know what? I AM different. In fact I'm SO different that I don't seem to find too many folks who get it. Like you? MOST of the time I go "incognito" and blend in with the local hillbillies well, but that ain't ME. I'm just sneaky. Some days I actually get out of my trashy work clothes (the name brand ones) and dress "up" a bit and be MYSELF. Which are the times when I would be labled "different" by other folks. Probably folks who don't know me think that I have a crazy twin sister... If they notice a resemblance at all, which is doubtful. It's good to stay "undercover" sometimes, and sometimes ya gotta get wild. Ya gotta dress really crazy to get people's attention, that is if ya want their attention. And sometimes ya do. My philosophy is that a good shock is just what alot of folks need these days to wake them up. I wore a shirt to wally world not long ago that had women with HUGE dicks all over it and I don't think anybody noticed...
I make it a mission to not wear name brand clothes ... I'm not a walking billboard ... and people who buy them new; what a waste of money! I mostly am talking about A&F, Hollister, etc, stuff people my age wear. It's like, "Look at me, I have money to blow on an ugly shirt who's only message is an advertisement." I get most of my clothes from thrift stores or secondhand shops. If I find a nicely made pair of jeans at the thrift store from a namebrand, okay, but that's about the only exception. I know it sounds terrible, but I automatically make a face when I see someone wearing a shirt with a brand name sprawled across it.
Yes. I firmly believe in thrift stores. Goodwill was the main clothing store in the town where I grew up, so clothes were passed throughout the community. We only went to mall once every one or two years.
I never wear brand names. Big companies tend not to pay their workers enough money. Children work their fingers to the bone in sweat shops for thirty pence a day then we are sold them for twenty times that amount! I'm a fair-trade person.
i dont wear brand names. not because i dont like them etc. its just im too stingy to save up and buy them when i can perfectly afford a great tye die shirt for under $10
i dont were brand names, its flashing that your jeans are better than most making society ineqaul in way i guess idk what im talkin abt or if it makes sense but i hope it does
I haven't worn brand names for years. All of my clothes are bought from the Salvation Army and other thrift stores. Not only is it a lot cheaper, and the money doesn't go to greedy corporations, but you can also find more interesting clothes also.
i messed up the above post i mean i agree with marxist hippie about how the money shouldnt be given to greedy corperations and how it is good to save cash
i hate any and all name brand clothes people shouldnt judge others on what they wear but instead on what there personality is
I avoid even buying brand name clothing when I can, but when I have to it will not have their logo on it. I an not a billboard, and I'm gt getting paided to advertise their sweatshop crap. The only exception to that would be things like shirts for bands that I like, and even then i'll prob just put it in the closet and forget about it.
Most of day day to day clothes carry the Kirkland brand name, from Costco. Does that count ? All the others say Carhart on the label.......Even my dressy stuff.....
