Is there any advantage to making tea in a refrigerator? If you left tea bags in water the next day you'd have tea. It would just take longer. But would it taste better?

Also someone please explain Sun tea to me. To make ice tea you just leave the water and tea bags in a window. And then the sunshine draws the tea out? What's the advantage to that?

Actually, it has been my experience that Sun Tea tastes' better. Sun tea is steeped in warm water for a long period, it is more flavorful. If you drop some tea bags in water and shove it into a cold environment, the teas doesn't steep as well, and yes, takes longer. Ideally, you should boil your water to 178 degrees fahrenheit or 81 degrees Celsius, and allow the tea leaves to steep for about 4 minutes for a single cup, or about an hour for a 60 ounce jar. But setting the jar in the sun for most of the day achieves the same thing
