Have any of you ever removed the neckline binding on a knit shirt, shortened it, and replaced it to reduce the size of a large neckline? I'm going to do it following the guide in this video. http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/3839/video-a-neckline-binding-for-knits I want to only partially remove the neckline binding, as this is a shirred v-neck tee made like this one: I don't want to monkey with the shirred area so I'll leave that part attached and only shorten and re-attach the rest of the neckline binding. I'll let you know how it works out.
Depending on how the arms fit at the pit, you could just pinch in the shoulder a bit. It would be a faster mod than stripping off the binding.
