You’re right in public we have no respect for others, we think the world owes us favor, and when criticized for our behavior, we throw a tantrum and get all up in your face BTW Seafood is the new Soul Food Hotwater
my generation aren't saints and neither were the ones that came before us. its less a matter of age then of the culture of the times. politics, ideology, belief, are all factors in how we got where we are, how we're going to get out of it, and where we choose to go.
Yeah, based on years of working in the customer service industry, I'm pretty sure it's middle class white ladies that are the rudest. I'll take talking and laughing a little too loudly in public spaces over being a demanding, spoiled, entitled bitch any day of the week.
Aaaah so it's ok to comment how certain groups of white people behave, but not black people. Gotcha. If you even mention black people in a negative context, so many "warriors" and defenders are gonna show up. Coolio. I think I would hate living in America so, so, so, so much.
If PR said white men or old white ladies tend to be rude and loud and had questionable manners, everyone would be all lol. Everyday I hate People More And More
I dont really care about what PR said about how American black women act in restaurants. Whatever, everyone stereotypes What bothered me is how he said African blacks know how to act and therefore have morals, and American blacks dont have morals just because they're more boisterous in a restaurant. Just one of those little wtf things in life
It reeaaally doesnt matter though, i just thought it was a dumb thing to say because as matte pointed out, there are other people who dont know how to act in public too. Those cheddar bay biscuits though!
It's not just your nostalgia. Red Lobster and Olive Garden, were decent places to eat 20 years ago. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2014/dec/01/how-restaurants-cut-corners
you should come to Canada....we basically dont have racism unless youre in a big city we also dont have ethnic cleansing history (except for when the catholics tried to domesticate the natives)
Red Lobsters are nasty and full of even nastier people, who often happen to be black. I see nothing wrong with the OP's assumptions. Poor people go to places such as a Red Lobster and Olive Garden in order to feel fancy. Do not go to those kinds of establishments if you want to avoid a bunch of poor morons acting like they own the place just because this is the one yearly time they're spending more than $20 per entree.
Red Lobster always reminds me of this guy from Happy Gilmore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFH-y-gJn6w
Went to Red Lobster, they had an oysters on the half shell special; requested a half dozen. They had been opened an hour ago and were dried out from storage in a refrigerator.
it's not always a once a year thing; a lot of poor morons remain poor morons because the second they have $20 in their pocket they have to blow it on something like one expensive meal.
In my experience... any time a poor person has an extra $20 to spend, 99% of the time it goes towards (in this order) 1. Cigarettes 2. Drugs 3. Alcohol 4. Mountain Dew 5. McDonalds. 6. Personal gambling debts. There is usually no money left for Red Lobster, hence... poor people only go there on special occasions. I've known plenty of good, but poor folks who would treat going to the Olive Garden or Red Lobster or whatever like some sort of ceremonious holiday. That's where graduations (the few of them), births (many of those), anniversaries, and birthdays are all celebrated to great joy and noise.
