Did you even find the sound clip?

It has clips of each song on the clip and they sound almost exactly the same, just with different lyrics of course.

Yeah theyre the same chords for a lot of the song but I think it was unintentional. Sounds like a George Harrison my sweet lord-she's so fine thing. A court will decide its the same music but won't be able to prove that it was intentional.

It was probably not intentional but awnesly we all know that there are alot of songs that were plagerisved and everyone knows it.

I doubt it was intentionaly. And besides, when you plagiarse music, it's kind of dumb to rip off a hit tune. Better off to turn a crappy song into a good one.

It does sound similar but it was probably accidental. I feel bad for them if it was accidental too. I'm also a fan of theirs.

dont even get me started on this shit

first of all, the lyrics arent really that similar

second, its very obvious that last dance was sped up when compared to dani, therefor tempo is also different

the structure of the songs is entirely different.

as for the chord progression, who gives a shit. many songs have the same chord progression. woopty shit

I take it you're one of those bass players who thinks Flea is God or something.

I really really reallly reallly doubt they would plagarise intentionally
it would be a pretty stupid thing to do

Yeah the solo from Dani California sounds like Purple Haze

Alot of John Frusciante's solos sound like Hendrix stuff. He doesn't copy the songs of Hendrix or anything, he just sometimes plays in that style...but loads of guitarists do that. I wouldn't really say Dani California sounds like Purple Haze though.

that song, probably unintentional, regaurdless, is still plagarism. Yes, Chord Progressions can't be copy writed, but the melody they create and the structure can be. many people have been sued for this and the RHCP will probably lose. but it won't hurt them. but lets not be hard headed, when compared back to back the two songs sound identical with a few subtle differences, which won't matter. this kind of shit happens to me all the time. i'll start playing something and like it. start singing, and then realize i'm singing a Stones tune or something. I laugh and throw it out. its not my song.

I'm glad to hear that. Alot of bassists think that nothing better is out there. Nothing is better than Flea!!! I'm trying to break my little bass playing brother out of this phase. I'm not saying he's bad though, he's real good...there's just alot of other less mainstream bassists who are better. I'm just ranting now, sorry.
