Haha yeah some can have it real bad. Like as someone was saying before, a guy on the shroomery now sees cracks of light appearing through his keyboard, and the letters represent a moving alphabet soup.

I'm still trying to work out wtf went wrong with me.
But when is it not as serious as mentioned above, it is said most people, even if they never fully recover, learn to deal with their symptoms.
The scariest thing so far, for me, has been the appearance of red mailboxes at the most in-oppurtune times.
And I know theyre not actually there, because a) my friends cant see them, and b) we dont even have these mailboxes in australia.
Yeah I know I could get some psychic to explain that they have some great spiritual metaphysical meaning to my life, but I'm not really one for all that. The way I see it, I took drugs, they fucked up, and now I have to deal with it.
And if that means these red mailboxes, the ones that seem to be everywhere in BBC programming, keep appearing when I least expect them, then so be it.
I got to experience a hell of a lot of good drugs. Hahaha.
And if I had the chance to do blotters again...FUCK YEAH.

I've had them, usually in dreams. Never any visuals while awake, though. But there is one thing that is weird as hell, and I can't explain it. One Christmas about 25 years ago, I was tripping my ass off on windowpane. Among the crazy shit that was happening were some decidedly bizarre odors. For a couple hours I was like a bloodhound, detecting odors that were normally humanly impossible. Shit, I was picking up the odor of gasoline from my car outside. After this trip I quit smoking for a month because it stunk so bad. Anyway, I happened to notice that the forefinger on my left hand had taken on a fruity, perfumey odor. And I still smell it, 25 years later.

wierd... That is probably HPPD though but unlike most peoples forms of it it is affecting your perception of your sense of smell not sight.

Could be. Coincidentally, it was also the finger involved in my first sexual experience at 11, and I always had a crush on the girl. She grew up to be a major babe, and I blew my opportunity, so maybe that's it...well, it's a theory. [IMG]

What would you all say to the fact that I've had symptoms of HPPD for all of my life that I can remember, never having tripped until I was 18? During my first LSD experience, I would explain the things that happened to my friend who had dosed before, and he kept saying that it must have been crappy or old or whatever cuz it definitely wasn't strong. Weird thing was that only one visual experience was out of the ordinary from my perspective...I have seen breathing walls and shifting ceilings before while totally sober. I've also had weird things happen in my visual field while looking at tiled floors and vertical blinds on patio doors. The only difference from sober and that first time was that while I was tripping, it just sort of happened without me thinking about it.

On the HPPD website, that first little bit of someone's experience describes something I previously thought was completely normal. When I look at something, I see that image replicated (although inverted colors) wherever I look. I do not have the swirly neon colors thing goin on though. The vertical blinds I mentioned before move around the way the clothes in the closet were mentioned on that website.

The only thing different that I've experienced (and I think I have an idea why) after several trips is something that has to do with ceilings. Any ceiling that has little bits of paint hanging down, or the ceiling tiles that have holes in them, the drips or the holes shift around, though not as complex as my last trip. It comes and goes randomly, but doesn't cause a problem.

What do you think about this, keeping in mind that the majority of it has happened while I was sober and had never ingested drugs before?
