Spotty at best. Have convinced a few to ditch the shoes now and then but I would not now call them barefooters.
My son walked on the road with me,he wasn't impressed. He certainly doesn't like our gravel driveway. I walk on gravel a lot,the majority of my barefoot time is on gravel surfaces. I can't get anyone to do that.
Kids sometimes see me and want to emulate. Parents are upon them in no time yelling and the kids protest, but in vain.
once i was asked how could i manage to walk on coarse gravel. I wanted to show off so started sprinting and skidding over it. people went AAAHH OUCH ... hey ppl, my feet not yours!
Personally I haven't even tried. Clothes are always kinda personal, and I know from experience that if you try to push people to a certain direction, you're gonna be met with resistance, because most people don't like being told what to do. I like this, however. Lead by example. Your best bet.
