so these are more sick than dark, but Peter Jackson's early work is great - it's funny, twisted, awesome.

like braindead (sometimes called Dead alive) with such wonderous lines as "I kick ass for the Lord!"

and Meet the Feebles and Bad Taste are up there as well.

I dont know if this would be considered dark comedy, but A Dirty Shame was out there.

    Dear Duck,

I had a look at Amazon, but they only offer it 2nd hand. The price was extortionate. Is this film banned in the States, or something?

If anyone wants to see what this film's about go to

    petergreenaway.co.uk/ctwl.htm

You can also hear some of the haunting score by Michael Nin, who also did the theme for The Piano.

I dunno that would explain why it's so damn hard to find though...

In GTA3 they have something about this, one of the secret phone missions I think...

I just saw this movie for the first time a few weeks ago, after my friend recommended the hell out of it. I laughed my ass off. And yah, it has a way of making everyone in the room extremely uncomfortable. Young ones, don't watch it with mom and dad ;)

I don't reccomend "Up and Down". "Horem pádem" is the original title of the Czech film (a pulp style) but it was really just not good IMO. The only funny guy was the reformed soccer hooligan, but I just didn't care for mosst of the stories and the people...
