Oh yeah! I have a last week of pictures.. The police station of Arthur's Pass village makes me think of how a police station should look in Toy town or something, haha.
I was enjoying walking along this highway so much that I didn't even try to hitch. Further along, when the road hugged closer to mountain, there were big walls to prevent slips etc.. I walked up and over the walls. The graffiti in the concrete there, that's about ten feet above the road, a road that normal people would never be walking.. So very few people are ever going to see this final resting place of an ewok : ) It felt special to see. I suspect a road worker did it. Can you see the little guy on the woodstove? : ) That night we played a game where I hid my food, the mice would find it, hide find hide find. Then I found a hook on the ceiling and won. Yey.
Most of the huts aren't this rough but I loved this. So cool to think of all the people who slept there while working...
And then on my last morning out wandering, after sleeping there.. I walked out to this and was like WOW waited for the sunrise. Moon was behind me. It was a gorgeous morning to see.
Is that ice or frost in the last picture? I know it's the end of summer down there. Awesome pics, too!
Well. "down under" is because of the equator, isn't it? I was under that impression anyway. So NZ counts too.
Sure : ) I'll get yours to the same kind of place then we can trade back? In reality, I don't know about you, but most people wouldn't want it really, because of the parts that aren't immediately apparent.. No house, no car, no kids. Working minimum wage jobs with low responsibility but also no career path. When travelling.. Like, that bridge I posted a picture of, I slept there because it was raining and I couldn't be fucked to go any further. Most people would hate it in reality : )
What I'm saying is, anyone could do it if they don't want the "normal" things, which in my opinion and experience are harder to attain.
My Dear You Are Still Young.......Enjoy What You Are Doing......I'm Sure In The FutureYou Will Find Yourself With All The Things You Mentioned......AND THEN.....Look Back At What You Are Doing Now.......AND SMILE..... Cheers Glen.
