It has been economically pillaged. Lots of respect for the folks living there.

Cheap candles is the only reason I put up with it.... and its parking lot offers a nice birds-eye perspective of moving traffic.

    ^^indeed^^

Saw lots of that when visiting. Again, it has been economically plundered and abandoned by its plunderers. Sooo much decay and suffering.

I'd like to go drive around Detroit and Flint just to see how bad things are down there.

last time I was in flint I counted over 10 liquor stores on Michigan ave(?), 1/4 mile down the road was a world class automotive musem...talk about contrast and misplaced priorities

Detroit is more interesting to drive through... ghettos are more dense and thare are more places of interest.

    Indeed I do.

When people who are supposed to be responsible for safeguarding our economic security and sovereignty are basically pretending to care and only paying lip service to solving the problems all the while investing their assets in a way calculated to make money off our demise then it's pretty clear that this metaphorical HMS Titanic has the intended destination of the iceberg.

It is by design I think- there's no real intention of fixing anything- just preserving bubbles long enough for cronies to cash out before it all comes tumbling down. Manufacturing is cheaper elsewhere and our currency has been decimated... there's next to nothing to invest in here and no payoff to them in rebuilding the economy so they play charades and print up new, inflating fiat currency to placate- all the while diverting us with class warfare tactics and turning terms like "corporate jets" into buzz words in keeping us pissed at the very wealthy- which is easy- they do deserve our contempt- almost as much as our government.

Some decay for ya (didn't snap many)

The Bronners Christmas Store. My family owns that store you're talking about. It was my late Great uncle Wally who started it.
