only thing that can kill you is yourself, and well someone else.

no snakes, spiders (well nothing to bother about)......list goes on

yeah..we didn't even have any predator type, native animals until man came, bringing his rats and dogs and whatnot.

whcih is probably why so many of our birds - the pukeko, the kiwi, the kaka, and so on don't enjoy flying and shuffle around on the groud where they (used to) be safe.. they are flipping daft looking birds....pukeko....

I like Pukeko! They're all mad and lanky! :D Bit of a pest in some areas though...

Kakapo, now that's an odd bird... a terrestrial parrot!

Another beauty of your shores which I've recently discovered is poi, amazing things, you can totally relax yourself AND have fire swishing past you in increasingly tighter circles! ahhh, meditation mixed with pyromania, wonderful invention!!!!

yeah, fire poi (while not so traditional :) ) rock soooo much.

way better than the equally untraditional poi we used to make in primary with red, brack and white wool and some scrunched up plastic bags, lol.

poi are basically like soft, bally things on the end of a string, that you swing around you when you perform traditional maori dances...fire poi are similar, only less traditional and on fire :)

Scenery here is wonderful, plus people are generally far more laid back than in places like America or Europe. :)

hmmmm is this laid back in attitude, like "sweet as man, no worries that you poured drink all down my top"

or is it lais back as in we do less work?

coz i do about 100 hours a week of work, and work untill i am physically sick, so to me i feel like i am anything but laid back, but i do think my personality is laid back.

Laid back as in if you go to France or England or places like that everyone always seems incredibly stressed out. Most people here seem to have laid back personalities. Not so much the work issue. :p

We don't know how lucky we are, mate, we don't know how lucky we are...
