really enjoying Hipforums > Love and Sex

So I found hipforums by accident, I've been here only a few months and I'm really enjoying it here. I'm starting to "get to know" some of the regular posters. Some of you are just plain nasty haha but nothing illegal Others like Barry M, the other Barry, Pete's Draggin, RBecca, Just For Fun, Nubbins, Romper (I'm missing many) `to name a few have some really sound advice and awesome r/l experiences to share. Also great that people are so respectful of everyone else's opinions and ideas.

I agree, I too came across this forum and have enjoyed my time here as I stop in about every other day.

Found my way here by searching about sex. Search engines directed me to this and other forums. I lurked for many years before joining in. Finally realizing and accepting my addiction to sex I learned from here and elsewhere ways to control it yet enjoy the pleasure my body receives. Dissing the shame that is pushed by most of society and accepting who I am I now pass along advice and experiences while still learning from others.

 

You said it Barry, it's fun to join a community of like minded individuals who enjoy sex. And it's not to different then joining a fishing forum if you like fishing, or a Ford forum if you're a Ford guy. I didn't think there would be one for sex. If you're alluding to the "other" big sex forum where they host sex stories, I'm there too. It is much more active than Hip and generally a good place.

But I see that other forum as like a giant super store. Many people, everything you need, great place! But I see Hip > Love and Sex as that tiny grocery store in the corner where it's never crowded, there isn't the same selection, and may be a bit more $$, but when you walk in, it's a cozy place, they know you by name and you get to know the regulars (neighbors) that shop there.

 

I'm not sure where you mean by the other big sex forum. I have probed into Reddit a little but don't care that much for the format. Quora is a good ask a question and sort out a bunch of answers that may or may not be correct venue. But to post a simple comment about something sexual or being able to pass along advice or experiences is something I enjoy doing. Plus I'm always interested in learning the nuances around people and how they approach the subject.

 

I used to be on a different forum and enjoyed it, then it shut down. So I searched and checked a couple before joining this one.

I don’t join multiple forums, I prefer to be able to keep up and not having to check other places. What I liked about the other forum was that I could have met some women.
To conclude that last sentence, there were circumstances that made it impossible to meet at the time. Pre-COVID

 

I'm referring to Literotica.com, they're known for hosting authors and their stories. But they have a very active message forum relating to sex and it's really quite good! But I still like Hip better, just a cozier place, that's the only way I can describe it.

I'm on a lot of forums, practically one per interest and I have many interests. I find it a good way to connect with like minded people, that simple. I just never thought one existed where we could talk about sex!

So tell me if I'm right or wrong. From what I can see from browsing Hip > Love and Sex for the last few months, I'm guessing the participants can generally be placed in one of the following buckets: ~80 - 90% are people who prioritize sex and currently or previously enjoyed a great sex life. They're here to share experiences with like minded individuals. ~5-10% are just plain NAUGHTY, I mean you girls and guys are nasty! LOL - love it! A few percent are one-time posters seeking counsel about and issue they're facing. The common ones being not getting enough sex, bf wants too much sex, am I pregnant among others. And of course every now and then you get trolls but the admins do a great job of finding them quite fast and deleting their posts.

I can’t speak for the rest here, but as for myself it’s a mix of everything. I like a lot of other things and I satisfy some of those interest on different sites. With regard to this forum I see there are a lot more general things to talk about but I just chose to limit myself to sex related things.
