Acid is certainly safe when used in a clinical setting, but I wouldn't extend that to mean that acid is always safe for everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I do believe acid is pretty safe. But there is a difference between tripping with your buddies on a whim, and taking part in a clinical study where there are real therapists, physicians etc. involved.
Either way, you can be certain that proper use of acid as a medicine does not entail a night of drinking and doing coke before consuming the LSD.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Can someone describe what those three drugs together end up doing in the synapses of the brain? (If not you shouldn't be doing it!)

It still amazes me that with all the decades of research, literature, reporting and experiences millions have had with LSD, that some people still think it's cool to drop acid with alcohol and other drugs.

No it is NOT cool at all as you've discovered.

And this is the reason for many a BAD TRIP.

You don't have to have bad acid for a bad trip, just mix it up with some other drugs and let's see what happens...

And go ahead and be juvenile about it, don't bother to do any of your own research. Got LSD? Take it whenever you feel like it. Really intense public settings are best. Be sure to go to a bar and drink until drunk. Really helps with seeing trails and getting spacey and making friends. Go ahead, make a total ass of yourself, it's FINE! Everyone will respect you more cause you did all those drugs together and survived!

This shit galls me. Not just cause the info is out there, oh no.

It's cause people don't realize that not only is mental set and setting important to LSD tripping, but you NEED TO CHOOSE your drugs carefully. Esp. if combining.

Doesn't matter what drugs are involved. Choosing to use any drug is a LIFESTYLE CHOICE.

It's a choice you make that may take you down a different path for the rest of your life.

And if you have an addictive personality it's even more critical to choose carefully.

If alcohol is your drug of choice, then you are going to adopt a lot of traits that users of that drug have (including bad judgement and excessive risk taking).

Likewise with cannabis, cocaine, heroin (opiates), meth, etc.

Once you choose your drug, you'll find yourself associating mostly with people who do the same drug.

Sure you can use other drugs, but this is where you have to learn about drug interactions and moderation.

Going out of your preferred drug milieu becomes more stressful esp. if it means dealing with those people who do (and deal) the other drug.

Some drugs are associated with certain milieus as they go well together.

    Like mushrooms and LSD (psychedelics)

    Others don't go well together

    Like alcohol and LSD.

I guess some people, just need to discover these things by themselves...

I usually don't "like" your posts, because a lot of people seem to do so as a way of kissing your ass, and I don't want to seem like one of those people, but this is a good post. It took me a LONG time to realize a lot of the points you touched on, as many of you know, and I still struggle with it a bit, but I've definitely matured a lot over the years and am a lot more responsible with my drug use than I once was. I'm one of those people who had to learn this on my own, because I'm a hardheaded mofo, and am still learning. Hopefully the OP will live long enough to become more responsible, as well.

LSD and other psychedelics aren't toys. They're tools. Sure, the psychedelic experience can be very fun, but there is a right way and a wrong way to use any drug, and psychedelics need to be respected and their power acknowledged. Otherwise, you're gonna have a bad experience. Maybe not the first/second/third/twentieth time you trip, but you'll eventually get ass-raped by a chemical that you didn't properly respect/research. That same respect needs to be applied to other drugs, as well, because none of us are invincible and certain drugs, such as cocaine, can take control of your life without you even realizing it, which is eggzakly what happened to me with xanax. I'm glad I finally realized that and I've been trying to free myself of that addiction for a while, but getting off of benzos is tricky and now I have Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Syndrome, so it might take me years to return to "normal". That's because I didn't show the drug the respect it deserves.

op-research and clinical studies does not constitute ''use in medicine''

Nevertheless, LSD is, viewed objectively and without any hysteria, quite a safe drug.

Cocaine and alcohol are both well known to be quite damaging and dangerous - they can cause everything up to death individually, much less mixed - much less on LSD to mess with your mind about what you feel.
