I made a robin tree topper. It's basically a cone of cardboard with eyes and a beak.

 

if you're lucky enough to live in the city i guess. around here half the restaurants won't even open on a fucking sunday.

 

Jeff Gordon can coozie is my star I might put two of them up this year. Actually I might put the tree up this weekend.

 

i'm putting my tree up this weekend too. and making and decorating sugar cookies.

When I lived in Hawaii I was amazed how many people paid outrageous money to get a "live" tree. All of them arrived by ship from the mainland.

Thanks to tree farming (and the fact Americans rarely use trees for fuel anymore) I have zero guilt about using a natural tree. However, I don't usually get one and haven't in maybe 2 decades.

There are substantially more trees in the US today than there were a century ago. For a variety of reasons. Primarily trees are saved because we no longer allow forest fires to ravage hundreds of square miles or territories the size of states. Instead, we put the fires out.

I appreciate localized conservation efforts, but I don't support blanket policies about tree preservation. Like it or not, nature knows how to utilize trees. And most forest fires are started by lightning.

 

I remember when this, was new! It was amazing to me as a kid. And I learned a lot about the evils of random discrimination.

Now I hear this classic is under fire by the usual PC crowd. It's like they take the J out of Joy, for no real reason.

if you mean "fucking sundays" literally, then i think anyone would be a fan. but it never seems to work that way; a more accurate term would be "sitting at home eating leftovers because there's nowhere to go and nothing to do sundays".
