I have been wanting to read some new books lately, but I haven't a clue what to read. I love George Orwell and Groucho Marx and have read most of their books. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some authors similar to the two I mentioned. Or just post some authors and titles of books that you enjoyed. Thanks.

Have you read the Huxley Book,"The Doors of Perception" yet? Or "The Prophet". Both of which are very good.

The Catcher in the Rye is pretty damn interesting. Oh, and if you really wanted to get funky, you should read Pippi Longstocking, lol. :) I just finished it, lol. I got bored and I was stoned and I came across that book. And it freaked me out, because I've been looking for it for ages and finally I found out, stoned. I have the power to pick up book vibrations, lol.

So why choose to beat a horse?! That's horrible! Oh man, if I had the money, I would buy half the people on the HipForums a permanent plane ticket to Mobile to stay and live with me. It's sad, though. I love everyone on here and wished we all lived in the same area.

Yeh, it would be cool if we all recieved teleportation devices, so we could port to and fro everyone on the forums' houses. Maybe I should ask for one for Christmas :p

A cow, Lmao. A book just fell on me. It's called The Pig Who Sang To The Moon by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson. It's a book on the emotional world of farm animals. (Dude, how would you like to have that name for a middle name... Moussaieff?) Good riddance.

If you like fantasy Robin Hobb writes some really good books. The farseer trilogy and The Liveship Trader trilogy are really good. Helter Skelter is really good too. Lord of the Rings is probably my favorite but im sure you've read that. Thats all taht i can come up with now.

Siddhartha inspired Yes to write Close to the Edge
Autobiography of a Yogi inspired Yes to write Tales From Topographic Oceans
War & Peace inspired Yes to write Relayer.
