I see you didn't understand my use of the word "just" in the context that I used it. I should have chosen my words more carefully. My use of the word just meant that 80,000 is only 12% of the Lancet number.

I would guarantee that I have seen more attrocities of this war than you have seen on your computer screen. Mamed women and children with limbs blown off, crushed by debris, used as cover by insurgents, bullet ridden bodies, etc.. The horrible results of war are not something that I am trying to cover up or avoid. I have said before that this blood is on Bush's hands. 80,000 men women and children most of whom would be alive if it were not for the US invasion. I am not denying this. One does not need to exaggerate this number to make it any more reprehensible.

Do you know who else counts their dead? The Iraqis!!! Some seem to think that the Iraqis are so incompetant that they can only account for 12% of their dead. Meaning that they have over 500,000 unidentified dead!!

This is the Lancet Study. The same study that MIT showed was statistically impossible to conduct accurately and unbiased in the amount of time claimed by the study. According to this study, a team of Americans and Iraqis spent an average of only 4 minutes per household throughout the survery. Imagine a team of researchers going from house to house, knocking on strangers doors, introducing themselves, explaining the purpose of their survery, asking a number of questions to frightened and emotional Iraqis and recording the results.... All in only 4 minutes!!! I have broken this number down several times in the past and have raised points and questions that were ignored in favor of insults. I do not expect to get any more the 3rd or 4th time around.

 

no doubt the war mongers would have been claiming that germany wasn't killing anyone in ww2, it was all just some confusion with reality and statistics.

from the posts of some characters that they know even less of american history than they do of current events. german mercenaries were used against the american populace this would be at least one example.

maybe instead of learning about how jesus wants america to attack every other country on the face of the planet they could try and educate themselves.

This is insane that they're trying to do that; it'll just mean that Bush or any other government pigs can strip us of our constitutional rights for any given reason and put us all in concentration camps. It reminds me of the many "lockdowns" we had in my old group homes; if even one kid proved to be a threat (usually for something like asking too many questions) we'd all be put under lockdown, kept indoors, all our belongings and rights taken away. They used this as a technique so that peer pressure would keep us all from speaking out. Sounds like the government is gonna pull this shit too.

I belive that the number is closer to 100,000. We have had this discussion before. I told you how you could find a more accurate measure of civilian casualties through FOIA. Being a journalist, this should not be anything new to you.

And of course with your logic you don't think you should have to provide any proof of this claim. I believe that the reason you pulled this statement out of your ass is that you actually don't believe the latest exaggerated toll of over 1,500,000 civilians dead like you claim to. I think that as unintelligent as you sound here, you are smart enough to realize that it is nearly impossible that there would have had to been an average of almost 850 civilians killed EVERY SINGLE DAY since the invasion began 5 years ago. You are not fooling anyone.
