well i am sick and found some time to update. i put in a pool monday and last night i notice since i started swimming everyday, i am getting dandruff. what can i use to get rid of this? thanks
I think its cool as hell that you're documenting the progress on your natural dreads. backcomb or neglect, no matter what route you go, you're going to look a little awkward for a while, both paths are leading to the same goal though, so I say whatever works for you. I've been using knottyboy's liquid shampoo, love the peppermint smell of it, no lather and rinses clean. I actually tried it a couple times before I started my dreads just to see how well it did at cleaning since I tend to have an oily scalp. Since I'm on the topic, anyone else ever use Prell? Its super cheap, residue free and leaves hair squeaky clean. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on it since I'd never seen it mentioned in any dread related context. oh, and I almost forgot to mention. I don't have any problem with my job caring about my appearance. I work for an online porn company so they're pretty lenient. Odd job to have, but its a desk job and I get paid decently for the area I live in with good benefits.
I don't think it does... I can check the ingredients though.. I think I have a bottle lying around here somewhere.
I heard washing with the pure souls of the innocent will keep your scalp dandruff free but it will tend to cause angry pitchfork mobs, so it should be use occasionally... still havnt tried it though, anybody ever used this? does it work? while Im on mobs did you know that The IQ of a mob is the IQ of its most stupid member divided by the number of mobsters.
If there's chlorine in your pool, rinsing with ACV might help balance that. I found it helped a lot when I was swimming anyway - I was using it for hair dryness rather than scalp but it could be worth a try.
that's actually true... the problem is finding anyone who's innocent anymore to even take their souls
so next monday will be 3 months of neglect, i wanted to go ahead and upload some images of my hair today. the dandruff issue is taken care of, i just cut back how much i was going swimming and used the rest of the DHHQ shampoo i had. i am starting to see change and its exciting!
its sectioning itself well... my hair looked like a nest at three months. if i didn't know any better i'd say it looks like normal hair at first glance
thanks everyone, yeah from the front it really dont look like much is happened but once you get to the side and back you see the change
so i wasnt going to do any updates for a couple of weeks but here i am. wo i wash my hair once a week, its either on saturdays or sundays, since i did yard work today i washed it tonight. in these pics my hair is still a little damp but thats not why i am updating. it may be silly but i am excited. there is one little section of my hair that is knotted up at the end. its very small and little but its the first sign of a real dreadlock starting. so yeah i am pretty f***ing excited and just wanted to share that. the picture is not that good but everything from the puffy part down is all knots!
so if you go to my blog at http://ravenmikhail.blogspot.com/ i am starting to do a monthly video update of my timeline. just thought that i would share that with everyone. also uploaded video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24isymGMN2A
