True, but that's a bad example. He was a very extreme individual, whereas isn't Danny Brown pretty mainstream? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah, I pretty much agree. I'm just more partial to hippies. So, if you think it's perfectly fine, do you think this might start a trend? Blow jobs on stage?
I don't think it's perfectly fine. I just thought you were being a hypocrite. It might start a trend of club owners being more wary towards hip-hop acts..
Not a bad idea, perhaps it may encourage kids to pursue music education. With increased demand for music classes, schools might get more funding for music related curriculum's.
Violence is the part of the rap culture that offends me. I don't care about the sex. Who gets a blowjob, or where he gets it, as long as everything is between consenting adults, is nothing to me. The world has a lot more important problems to deal with. Exactly right.

Rap can be hip. It just depends on the artists. Majority of new era artists are not as fly as the old school artists nor not as lyrical.
I actually agree with you, but some people, including my daughter, are trying to convince me otherwise. She got me listening to K'naan this weekend, and I have to admit it was musical. Is he considered to be hip-hop?
Knaan's newest album was less hip-hop than his others. He actually wrote an op-ed for the New York Times in which he basically apologized for selling out and making it more palatable to the masses. His album Dusty Foot Philosopher is his best I think, but Troubadour is good as well.
