lol You speak as if all rap music is the same. SOME rap music glorifies that type of lifestyle. SOME rap music is about bringing awareness to the hardships suffered/witnessed by the artist. SOME rap music is about nothing more than lyricism and flow. SOME(a lot, actually) rap music doesn't even qualify as music. lol

Maybe. But would you agree you are fan of the trap hustle type rap? That is what I would call allot of what you post. There is no substance beyond "look how cool I am, I have money and drugs and you don't. You wish you were me". I am not making fun, whatever you enjoy enjoy it. It's just not for me.

I listen to rappers that use complex, multisyllabic rhyme schemes. Like I said before, sometimes it's just about lyrical skills and flow. You'll never catch me listening to any Lil Wayne or Drake or anything even resembling that lamestream swaggot shit. I don't care how you feel about rap music. I dislike the majority of it, myself. I just don't like it when people make generalizations, such as implying that ALL rap music glorifies violence and drug-dealing, because that's not the case. It would be like me saying "all christians hate gay people", based solely on the actions of Westboro Baptist Church. It's just ignorant to make such generalizations.

I love Immortal Technique's rhymes and his message. (I don't know why the fuck my links never embed)

One of the most educated and well-informed rappers in the game, also extremely intelligent and articulate individual... and a true student of history. There must be 50 historical references to shit you never knew about on "Revolutionary Vol. II" alone... Plus this guy is a true activist, donated and helped rebuild after Katrina as well as after the earthquake in Haiti, and he even put up $60,000 of his own money to build an orphanage for children in Afghanistan. Plus he's probably one of the most independent cats in the entire music industry, rap or not.... I'm going to see him live at the NY Harvest Festival in October to raise money for cannabis awareness.. gonna try to corner him after the show and smoke him down on some oil

But other than that, I just cannot stomach most rap... and the shit about gangs, bitches, drugs and money is a waste of time in my opinion. Just not for me.
