Negligible amounts of chlorine?! Oh god noooo! I might as well kill myself now and be spared the slow and painful death. :(

Your logic is downright terrible. It goes:

p1 huge amounts of chlorine are toxic
    p2 Toxic is bad
c chlorine must be avoided at all costs

However the amounts in filtered drinking water are so small that there is absolutely no tangible effect on a persons health. Stop obsessing over nothing. Same goes for fluoride in tea by the way. But there really is no getting to you is there?

A toxin in such a small amount that it does literally nothing to you doesnt meet the implications and the negative connotation of the word "toxin". The excess chlorine in filtered water is the equivalent to a flick in the forehead from a health perspective. Oh but apparently that's TOXICCC!!!! OMGOIMGOMGOMG. Better catch some rain water in buckets!

You're obsessive about things which you shouldn't be obsessive about and completely unreasonable. Naive and misguided.

Oh and alcohol in any amount is TOXIC! Doesnt that seem horribly inconsistent to you?

You worry about filtered clean water - yet there are people in the world dying from unclean water. Seriously, stop being so ignorant and be grateful for what you have.

People smoke, drink and take drugs. Yet you choose to "bitch" about overly clean water?

    Pathetic.

Hey stabby, when you are supposed to drink 8 glasses a day of water, thats 8 flicks in the forehead just from water, add in every breath of air you take, every meal you eat, every toxic substance that you have absorbed through your skin... at the end of the day you might have accumulated a punch in the arm.. now you add that up, a punch in the arm, every day, for 25 years+... you're going to start having problems in your arm as its slowly worn down..

I think YOUR logic is funny... 'Well, it didn't kill me straight away, so it must not be bad for me' hahaha

I think this is ridiculous to fret over minor amounts of chlorine in your water..

do you walk around with a tank of oxygen and a mask to make sure you only get clean air? or do you not mind the toxins you inhale as you walk around town.. or do you live in a bubble?

dont you smoke pot btw? do you only eat marijuana? or do you inhale combusted plant material? because that's healthy..

your logic is flawed on too many levels.. worry about one thing.. but care less about others

PS: the stress you're putting on yourself over worrying about chlorine in your water is probably doing more harm to you than the chlorine itself

Actually I took into account the total daily intake. The amount that someone will be drinking in an entire day, or lifetime has no tangible effect. And even someone drinking more water will see absolutely no effect from the chlorine in filtered water.

And my logic is actually "Well it won't have any tangible effect on my health at any time in my life so it must not be bad for me"

Don't be dishonest. The straw man fallacy is the refuge of the ignorant.

Best way to get water, in my opinion, is to buy a water culligan, and refill the container at your local grocery store when you need to. The water I get goes through reverse osmosis, as well as a few other filtration processes. Removes most chlorine, flouride, and heavy metals, these things being quite bad for you.

That kind of water does not have any of the important minerals that regular water has.

The bodies main source of minerals is from food in our diet, not from water. That kind of filtered water is extremely beneficial because it removes most of the harmful material, such as mercury, lead, aluminum, etc.

Hmm i guess you have a point there, however I have tried it before, and it doesn't even taste like real water to me, i do not feel satisfied from it.

I like the well idea and i know that for the majority of my life will be using one.

I'm not sure if your comparing the taste of tap water and filtered water, but yeah, there is a huge flavor difference between the two. Personally I find the taste of tap water offensive. I think its the chlorine. To me the filtered water tastes pure.
