Here's why psychic stuff is most likely fake, but I could be totally wrong, myself as an example: Not ONE psychic person has ever come forward. Not one psychic person has CLEARLY demonstrated that they're psychic. Go to youtube, type in James Randi. He offers one million dollars to anyone who offers real evidence of psychic abilities. He's has this offer up for a while. Weird how no one challenged him, huh? Your going to have to push your ego aside to accept this. Snap out of dreamland and THINK about how BS most psychic stuff is. I say most because there could be some authentic cases out there. I'm not stupid, or arrogant. I know you don't have to go to Nepal to be psychic. What I meant is that you would probably not be on the computer arguing about psychic stuff, you would be out practicing it. And if you DID actually practice it, then you'd know that it's bullshit. It took me a year of believing in psychic stuff, and trying to develope psychic abilities, to realize it was crap. Explain to me than, how russian scientist have been studying auras for quite some time now and they have agreed that it truly does exist and can be the cause of headaches and other illnesses?

interesting article, but it's all about how you can see the electromagnetic waves with machines. They're invisible. Everyone knows the human brain emits EMW's, but they're invisible, and you don't have a shred of evidence to suggest otherwise.
Well Auras are invisible to 99% of people anyways, the ability to perceive auras is a PSYCHIC ability, which is why we can see the invisible EMW's. Even if they were invisible and we couldn't see them, THEIR STILL THERE.
It's nothing psychic or paranormal though. No one can REALLY see auras. James Randi already determined that. If I look hard enough at myself in the mirror I can see my own "aura". If you try soo hard to see something, you probably will. Placebo effect. Seriously, auras are totally fake. EMW's exist, they have always existed. It's nothing paranormal.

As usual, great response. Here are the difference between EMW's and auras. EMW's emit naturally from our body. They're nothing special. Auras change color, and apparently you can see a persons mood and personality from them. Just like psychics, James Randi tests aura readers. If you would like, I'll show you a video of him debunking several "Aura readers". AURAS ARE SOOOOOO FAKE! Think about it! It's been sooo long since humanity has been around, and not ONE person out of TRILLIONS of people could offer evidence of them being able to see auras!
Yeal, you won't find hard-proof evidence of psychic ability. One cannot seek out the spirit, the spirit seeks out the person. It is through experience, and only experience will you know. I used to be just like you Yeal, a logical person who required and demanded scientific evidence and proof for everything... till the Universe slapped me in the face and turned my whole world upside down. The more you fight change, the harder the transition will be.
yeal, I have the same exact random conversation thing happen to me when I'm deep in thought, driving long distances, and it happens to me every night before I goto bed. My theory on it centers around peripheral hearing. Everyday we are in enviroments where there are alot of random conversations going on at once. For example, I'm sitting with my girlfriend in a restaurant and we're having a conversation. I'm focused on her, so I conciously only hear what she is saying, but there are a bunch of other people within earshot who are having there own conversations. I think that subconciously we hear all that. Before we goto sleep is when our subconcious starts to come out to play so to speak, so thats where all the random voices come from (what we sub-conciously pick up in our peripheral hearing on a daily basis). either that or we're just both psychic and we refuse to believe it

eye SEE IT it see I . i believe . that . yeal defends the culture of rationalism , which has good value yet remains quite short of anything absolute . the culture simply preserves that way of thinking like a conservative religion would do for a valued , simple teaching . skeptic is just his mode and seems it might be getting ever the less crude as he writes on . it's just as well to not defend the culture of psy , for that most valued in it is of primal experience and it cannot be destroyed by reason . how we make meaning is an art , and not at all a lonesome one .
Yes tikoo. If Yeal were defending the culture of rationalism in a truly rational and noncoercive, non-intrusive way, it would not be an issue for me. If he were genuinely rational, he would understand as you and I do the limits of rationality, but he doesn't. And maybe he IS getting less crude. However he is continuing to be intrusive and coercively controlling, and I'm concerned about the danger of losing some of the value of this forum because of his disruptions. What I needed was the little button that mojave pointed out in his meditation thread. I was looking for something like that, but wasn't aware of that button until I read mojave's post. What I'm also wondering is: Are there guidelines for posting on these forums? I've looked for something like that, but have not found it. Maybe I should apologize for the way I treated him. What do you think?
I think no apology is in order for yeal, he got what was coming to him. He was the one being arrogant, not us.
