    yea seriously.

did you know even the bible says there's nothing worse than a whiny woman?

"it is far better to eat breadcrumbs on the roof, than a glorious feast with a nagging/haughty/pretentious/contentious woman." depending on the translation.

that ancients new what political correctness won't dare let us!

Prove it. I want book, chapter & verse. Don't know? Look it up - here's a great resource - http://www.biblegateway.com Choose your translation, but prove it. Until you do, that's blasphemy as far as I'm concerned.

Nagging words. The book of Proverbs says quite a bit about nagging and its effect. “It is better to live in a corner of a roof, than in a house shared with a contentious woman” (Proverbs 21:9). “It is better to live in a desert land, than with a contentious and vexing woman” (Proverbs 21:19). “A constant dripping on a day of steady rain and a contentious woman are alike” (Proverbs 27:15).

    ;) You're welcome.

Thank you, Mods, you've all been doing a great job at banning all of Coyboy Blue's clones. Maybe y'all can delete his posts and report him to his Internet Provider, too?

Unlikely. I use a public computer.

    :)

Nice censorship though. Threatened by what I have to say? ;)

I love when women can't outwit me, and have to resort to brute force.

    Women are such brutish animals!

Sure enough, they were there. I apologise for accusing you of blasphemy.

You sure had fun taking those out of context, didn't you! All of Proverbs 21 AND 27 describes ALL of the sins of the tongue/spirit. You chose the three verses out of fifty-eight that specifically mention women.

I think you missed Proverbs 21:2 "All a man's ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart."

and Proverbs 21:8 "The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright."

and Proverbs 21:10 "The wicked man craves evil; his neighbor gets no mercy from him."

and Proverbs 21:11 "When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; when a wise man is instructed, he gets knowledge."

We watch your posts get more hateful and your mind become more diseased with hate every passing day. Your hate is possessing you. You have no control over it. It is sad, very sad.

My point is... you CANNOT take the bible out of context. You can't use one verse to make a point, without knowing the context in which it was written as well.

Amos 4:4 says "Go to Bethel and sin; go to Gilgal and sin yet more."

Is that permission to run around in these two cities, sinning to my hearts' content? NO! But sure enough, that's what it says.

If you're going to quote the Bible, make sure you have your facts in order.

That's a nice shotgun argument. "You can't take it out of context, because, see, I can't take this one of out context so you can't take any of them out of context!"

Unfortunately that argument fails, because it is an illogical fallacy. For one, my passages were about women, not cities, and two, the fact that it is not enjoyable to live with a contentious woman is independent of Amos 4:4 and also independent of whether Amos 4:4 can be taken out of context.

At any rate, my point is that the ancients knew how horrible it was to have to deal with contentious/naggy women. The context doesn't matter in this case.

If you're going to argue, get your logic in order.

P.S. If all the passages you mentioned were sins of mind and tongue, then obviously it is a sin for a woman to be prententious/naggy, etc. So you only support my argument and now you place DIVINE PROVIDENCE (it's a SIN, not just some ancient wisdom!) upon it. Thx!

Why should I bother? I'm an irrational, contentious/naggy woman!
