    6 weeks off, Christ.

My long holiday weekend lasting Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, seems pathetic by comparison

We're going to spend two weeks road tripping around and surfing in Oman, back for a week, and then probably head to Sri Lanka. Otherwise there is just lots of time to read, work out, cook, and lounge around the pool. It's Ramadan - not a lot going on.

    Oman!!!!! So cool.
I wish you'd post more pics, because you seem to travel so often, and to interesting places.

That is mostly because I am a terrible photographer. I also had my laptop stolen about a year and a half ago and lost about 8 years worth of photos.

But here are a few from the last year and a half.

The winter before last my wife and I went to Bali for five weeks (two weeks surfing and two weeks at a yoga camp). This is the hills near Ubud - a pretty nice little place to take a sabbatical from life.

I'm on the right with my wife. We spent two nights at Emirates Palace, an 8-star hotel. Everything is gold plated.

Last March I went to Tibet with a group of 9 friends (you need a group between 5 and 10 to even get a visa to visit, all from the same country). That is Everest in the background. We didn't climb it or anything, but we sure drank a ton of beer at basecamp with a bunch of the guides.

This is from this spring, reading a newspaper in the Dead Sea.

Last Christmas we did a road trip across Turkey with a buddy that moved there and his Turkish wife. This is from a hot air balloon ride over the "fairy rocks" of Cappadoccia.

Sounds like you need to have a serious discussion with your boss, not even Friday off?

    Wow beautiful pics!! Especially Cappadocia.
Also, you and your wife make a really goodlooking couple xD

I am jealous of the Dead Sea pic.
Yoga camp sounds really good too.

^ they are telling the IMF to F*** Off. About time someone stands up to the IMF and their one world currency agenda via Global economic collapse. Next up, Americans tell the Fed Res to do the same. Applaud to the Greeks for taking the stand and go it alone.

I was watching an episode of David Attenboroughs, Life, particularly the episode on primates. When the show got to the part on Chimps and their spectacular use of tools and social behavior, it came to me and I pose the question:

If we could leave them (chimps) untouched and in their natural habitat, could we potentially witness the re-birth and re-start of the Human Species through Evolution?

well, not the human species, since we didn't actually come from chimps. i suppose potentially something similar could come about from them though.

of course, we still couldn't witness it. because first, we'd all be dead long before anything even started to evolve, and second, we aren't capable of just watching something and not butting in. so either we leave them truly untouched (unlikely), or we witness it and quickly decide to jump in and fuck things up.
