allowing my thoughts to drift randomly is how i am able to go to sleep.
drama imbeded in the assumed cultural values our corporate masters want us to have, such as people are "entertained" by, in movies and on tv, keep me awake by preventing this.

I am currently up North to help First Nations people and it has been the most eye-opening experience ever.

This spring, and every spring for the last 4 years, this First Nation has had to evacuate due to flooding. They are located at the mouth of a river pouring in to the James Bay in Northern Canada, and due to raising water levels caused by global warming and the location of their village, if the winter brought a lot of snow/ice on the river, they have to evacuate the whole community when everything starts melting.

A few hundred of them are here with me in a quaint little Northern Ontario town about an hour plane ride away.

It would have been two weeks on Tuesday, but the water levels have gone down and they go home tomorrow. I fly back home on Tuesday.

For a few years, this Community has been asking for help from the government to move the whole village to higher ground, but the government are being total assholes about it. Technically, with what it costs to evacuate and rebuild the community year after year, the cost of moving them would pay for itself in 10 years, but because of stupid bureaucracy, and the fact that a politician's term is only 4 years, no one wants to undertake the project because the benefits would show until after their time in office.

There is something wrong with this picture, and being on the ground with these people and seeing what they face, it is seriously pissing me off.

what bothers me, is how common so many needlessly messed up things are. i'm not some young person first discovering this. i've witnessed this for more then six decades personally. but this hasn't stopped bothering me as much as if i still were. i know as humans we can do better, and i know the excuses we make for not doing so.

you help them move to safer ground and then they bitch about the white man taking away their traditional grounds

you give them money to build houses they waste it on new skidoos and flat screen tvs

you give them portable housing that is nicest than some working peoples homes and they trash it

you give government money to the chief for emergency use and next thing you know the chief and his family members have new houses and cadillacs

    fuck that shit

Dispassionately filter out all the negative stuff.Nietzsche' doctrine of beyond good and evil is just an excuse for evil.He was a great scholar and philologist but a nasty little man.I sold around 580 books to a dealer for £70,which was a bit of a rip off but I needed the money and it came in right on time.I have no remorse for losing the books in fact it was Cathartic. Also makes it easier to move.I don't need shelves of books to bolster my ego or impress people.

I never have things to impress people or booster my ego, either....Some things here give me great comfort...like some books and other things......true....much of the stuff in this house I would not miss....but I am either too lazy to do the work to weed it out and ....I need my brother's input.

I kept music books and guitar study books behind for myself, enough to last a lifetime. But I like the idea of slimming down my possessions to essentials and just collecting quality gear.

I am a minimalist person about possessions myself, so how did i become the warehouse here? Oh, yeah, my mom died and I had to take all that stuff in....and when she was alive she was always sending tons of stuff over here for me to take care of and do I do not know what the hell with alot of it.... :D

but again....my brother needs to take what he wants some day....i hope in this lifetime....lol

not to mention Stan's mom's and aunt's things here...Much of the furniture was his aunt's here, and he likes the stuff...big pieces that take up alot of room, though.
