they also used to mean what used to be called b-b guns. before paintball wars were invented.
when i hear the term air gun, the first thing i think of, is spray painting with compressed air. like de vilbus or badger.

i only wear gloves when i'm actually working outside. i just use pockets and/or coat sleeves otherwise. so since i only use them to work, my favorites are leather (or some similar material) work gloves. of course, those don't keep your hands warm at all, so you need a thin glove to go underneath. i have something that almost seems like thermal underwear type material that works beautifully. but no matter what style, two layers of thin gloves always seem to work infinitely better than one layer of even the thickest glove.

i never actually buy gloves; i always seem to somehow acquire more than i ever need. i got a whole bunch when i had an actual outdoors job a couple years ago, and still have several of them left. so this is why i don't really know what kind of material any of my gloves are made of.

Speaking of gloves....I found a pair of isotoner gloves last night that cost $48.00 , but they were 80% off, so i only paid $9. and change.....i see why they are expensive...warmest gloves I have ever had....kept my hands warm for the first time...nothing has worked in single digit temps before....so i recommend them....they are fleece like....I got black ones with leopead tops....

Skecher running shoes I also found on sale and used a 30 percent coupon for are good, too. They are called flash.

soft gloves wear out quickly as well have a tendency for one and only one, of the pair to get lost while the other remains in the pocket or wherever it is normally kept.

i do like the ones that make your hands look like furry paws. at least as long as their not made out of actual fur.

if they were, that would be just the same as if they were made out of human skin.

every living thing with a cerebral cortex and a spinal column is a person. because they experience every same emotional feeling as yourself. even ego in the same way.
individual communities of a species may have their own customs and ways for dealing with it.

this they are taught by their parents and peers, just as we are. while it is past on with little or no variation among an entire species, it can be extremely flexible in actual application.

rather like a comfortable glove. those that actually protect your hand are somewhat more useful then those which only keep your hand warm poorly as a fashion statement.

keeping hands warm are what pockets are for.

Watched the entire 87th Academy Awards....was getting pretty antsy about half way through and wanted it to be over, but am glad I watched the entire show...
I loved the clock work mechanisms that was part of the stage design behind Neil Patrick harris all night and my eyes always focused on that....
I loved Maroon 5 singing my favorite song of all 5 song nominees...lost stars, which did not win. The Glen Camppbell song was heart warming, too.
I loved Lady gaga...>WOW! She has a beautiful voice....and I loved seeing Sean Penn.

Did not expect that Birdman would win best film.. I have nothing to say here. I did not see that film.

I love movies and going to movies but I haven't seen a single oscar nominated best film of ther year for 2014 - they’re just not my type of movie.

The last films I saw that won an oscar were 12 years a Slave, Django, and Argo [IMG]

I am trying to find a good photo of the stage design, and the closest I came to it is here where Neil is in his underwear......

and only part of that design. It reminds me of "steam punk" design.....and is inspiring to me to want to paint something like it, without Neil, though.... :D

yep, the oscar stage was a highlight for me....this year...lol...kudos to the stage designers.....

I think I found the u-tube video of this that does not keep stopping, I hope, as it is worth it to hear in entirity....WOW!...Lady Gaga! I am a super fan of yours now.... :)

I have to admit, I was never a Julie Andrews fan, but must say she looks sensational for her age. I may like her better now... :D

The Grand Budapest Hotel is a beautiful movie. Visually stunning, and it reminds me of good old movies.

I'm gonna download it since i heard only positive things about it!

I don't understand what's so great about lady Gaga's Sound of music tribute.

Lady gaga's tribute probably affected you differently, is all.....
I always wondered what was so wonderful about the Mona Lisa painting. I saw it in real life , and it did nothing for me ...i would not want that ugly portrait hanging on my walls....LOL

although, i do understand the mastery of the painting and all of the secrets it is supposed to be hiding.....it still is not for me...
    different strokes and all....

That is different. I wouldn't want that painting on my wall either ;) Yet we understand what makes it special. Same for me with the Sound of music. I like it for what it is but am not a fan of the songs or movie. I can even acknowledge at times what makes lady Gaga great as a pop artist (although i kinda doubt how big she would be without any clips or visual entertainment on stage).
But i dont get the ecstatic reactions on that performance (not meaning just your post, i noticed some other comments too).

I can't speak for everyone, but I can speak for myself....

I never really cared for lady gaga with all of her sensationalisms....wearing meat, etc....just to be talked about. but she softened up this time...wore a beautiful sweet soft dress and i could really concentrate on her beautiful voice singing some songs i do really like.....and she made me like the songs more......
