i will readily admit that i have no idea if this is accurate, but i feel like 11 dead out of 60 shot is probably fairly normal. a lot of people survive gunshots; as long as they miss the major organs it's really just effectively a nasty cut. and on the drinking a gallon of milk thing, isn't that what people do to throw up on youtube?
The numbers are correct; just a typical weekend in Chicago A 34-year-old man was fatally shot in a drive-by. A teenager was shot in his car. A woman in her 60s was grazed in the head by a stray bullet A man was struck by a falling bullet. A teen was standing on the sidewalk when her ex-boyfriend allegedly walked up and shot her in the legs A man sitting in his car was killed when a gunman fired shots into the vehicle. A woman who was also sitting inside was injured by glass. Two people were killed and another three wounded in police-involved shootings.....etc........ Hotwater
Yup. Oh I agree. Although there are always at least 80 pages, and only 3 are members, and the rest are guests.
We would too if we were him :bobby: Well, at least they lived in the land of the free :2thumbsup: That sounds intriguing. How did you get those (online I reckon)? Who painted them? Are you gonna make pics :sunny:
There are several Croatian volunteers who work at a school and orphanage there, and they offer locally made things like paintings, wooden sculptures, key chains and stuff on online auctions (the money goes to the school, of course). So I was the highest bidder this time yay. Of course, you pay the shipping too.
I wasn't assuming it! And I wouldn't hold it against you at all if they were (just them ). I know a lot of those initiatives are though (they're often protestant in origin as well ), so I was just wondering.
Volunteers are people our age, who go to help, without any agenda. You don't need to be religious to go. However, a Catholic priest set up the school and everything. The man did a lot for the community, and it is linked to the Franciscans. And it's not just an elementary school for younger children, it's also a trade school for older ones.
Thanks for explaining. I know there are also lots of christians that volunteer and help without an evangelistical agenda I just dislike it sometimes when it's the opposite (still happens). Same with certain islamic help organisations. They're not all bad at all of course, but some have twisted motives.
There was also something like this, but I was to late to bid. These are some Rwanda baskets (I found random pics online) I don't need one, but I think they look nice and would think of a way to make use of them
Same here. It does look nice in a corner. Rather such a basket than one from the pile of the furniture (or whatever kind of) store
That would be a good example. But to be honest I can't picture a basket from there from my memory. But I'm sure the example still stands!
in a town far far away in middle america, a police department faces information overload and an overabundance of emails
thinking about Lillian today all day. Even though she was 96, she never acted old or seemed old....she always had a zest for living and pure joy for things she was involved with......I miss her, too......along with my mom, now...... Now Stan and I are both orphanated kids over here..... Where are all the elders?
